I didn't see any Argie saying that.
And LOl to emo Spurs fans that want to trade Manu even after realizing that our team sucks without him.
Don't kid yourself, per minute statistically, when Ginobili's healthy, he's one of the best in the league. Maybe not top 3, but he's up there.

with the emergence of b roy, manu is probably 4 now.
in the clutch, theres very few people better than manu.
so yeah good job you dumb .
This is the very first playoffs he misses. I think the sensible thing is to take a look at him next season and see how he's doing. It's obvious you simply can't replace the guy for what he brings to the team every night. I think this series is so clear it's not even funny. He's a one man second unit.
So I'm sure the FO will see how he recovers, and if he's healthy I don't see why they won't offer an extension. He's still young, and I think he still has a lot to play.
As a side note,I won't entertain the whole 'he costs us X championships' (we're not in a position to contend if he's not there to begin with) or all the ing about 'Playing in the olympics screwed the Spurs' (he got injured playing his heart out for the Spurs, both times). Injuries happen. Tim also missed an entire playoffs and it ended the same way. It was an even worse injury (meniscus), and I didn't see everyone wanting to trade the franchise player back then...
The only fans happier than Mav Fan tonight are Manu Fan.
On a per 48 minute basis, I believe only Kobe and Wade are better than him. And there are certain stats, like clutch shots where he is numero uno.
I don't think anybody is happy tonight... honestly.
it was really sad to see TP and TD go to war without manu.
absolutely depressing to see manu on the bench so believe me timvp, i'm not happy at all.
Question: Who would all this "trade Manu" suporterts blame if we do trade him and he ends up playing the entire next season at the level he's accustomed to play?
and this moron owns this site?????? you sure u r not ducks??????
timvp beign a , so what's new?
Don't think the guy's value was ever in question. The problem is he's too invaluable at this point in time, which is actually a bad thing. He'll be back though, and the bench should be that much stronger to handle his absences or any regression.
Cmon now man, he has done alot for the ARGY team for the last few years now, world championships, olympics....his won all that, so what is there to fkn prove? over commit urself to some bs in the summer so you head into the upcomming nba season fatigue or risks missing it cause of sustain injury you got in the summer?
you are comparing a young tim duncan franchise player 99/00 season where he got a knee injury to ginoboli? the same duncan that came back and won b2b mvps, championships?
I don't think they'll consider trading Manu this offseason, unless there's medical reasons why he won't be able to compete.
I do like the idea of seeing lots of Tony/Manu/GHill on the court together next year causing havoc for other teams.
Reading comprehension, guys.
If Manu rests this off-season, I'm content with having him healthy and heading into a contract year. It will be an interesting crossroads for this team.
Sure would make a badass backcourt....if you'll excuse my language. Strengthen the bench and you can still have TP or Manu play minutes with the second unit IMO.
First of all, people that blame our '06 loss solely on Manu are s. Sure, he had the foul on Dirk that ended up letting them tie the ballgame. It was a play on the ball, ONE play. One play doesn't determine an entire series, it was not just Manu that dug us in the 3-1 hole in the first place, we should not have even been in the position to need a game 7 at home to take the series. I know that it's perfectly natural to try to place blame on somebody so that it's easier to swallow, I mean I even do it by calling Bonner a worthless piece of crap. But blaming Manu for getting injured is going overboard, IMO. It's easy to look BACK and see that he should not have played, but it was his decision, and Manu has earned enough in my book in taking less money, in happily going to the bench, in his play in the Finals '05, that I'm not just gonna throw him under the bus for a series he didn't even play in.
Be angry at Manu if you want, but saying " Manu" is just stupid after everything he's done for the Spurs and San Antonio.
we wouldn't have won the championship with manu either,
and Grant Hill would have been valuable to his various teams as well, but he wasn't, he was injured, it's part of the deal, some players stay healthy, some don't, manu won't stay healthy
you're mom...even if she's shorter than you.
IT-I'll just hire a 5 dollar midget. Considering she might look like you it might cost 10 but it's worth the investment to kill you and shut you up.
Come to think of it? I don't think even a midget would your ugly ass mom. Nevermind.
Look is pretty simple wait till next season if Manu does get injured or his level of play decreases, trade him. Remember he's an expiring contract next year, moving him won't be too hard, even if injured. But to trade him not knowing how good he'll be is just stupid.
People like you like to yap yap yap and forget that he had his best playoffs during a season where he played for Argentina the summer before (2005). We also won in 2007, he played just fine, and he also balled the previous summer. The summer before last, he didn't play any ball, and he still got injured at the end of last season. And what did he have to prove? The guy simply wanted to defend the le they obtained the previous olympics. He had to have surgery either way, which he did and then he recovered perfectly fine. Then he suffered another injury on the other leg. Tough. Injuries happen. They happen to everybody. Sometimes they happen at inopportune times. Just ask Boston, who are in pretty much the same boat.
What I'm trying to point out is that people are bagging on him like he has aids. The guy is 31 and has not missed a postseason in 7 years. He played half of this season. But now he's injury prone, his body is breaking down, and we should trade a guy that was the Spurs top scorer, 6th man of the year, and 3rd team All-NBA just last season for pennies on the dollar because "he'll never be the same". The least you can do is give the guy a chance. If he gets injured next season again and the FO decides to trade him, then so be it. But some people here are acting like he lost games on purpose, or took a hammer to the fibula and injured himself. Truly a pathetic display.
Bashing Manu is really out of hand. You don't think he would have given anything to be out on the floor? Injuries happen. Whatever the cir stances, it's grossly unfair to trash him for being injured, considering how much of his heart, soul and guts he's poured into this franchise over the years.
manu misses a playoff game for the first time + spurs get destroyed without him = Trade Manu.
good logic.
its really easy to play the blame game and point the finger at players when the team is out of the playoffs......with all the crap that happen this season...no one is escaping the wrath of spursfans hahahahhaa
ps. dont worry kori, you will have to stick up with the majority of us for the next 5 long months hahahhahahahaha damn it be a boring off-season once again.....
