As much as it pains me to say it, Obama is right. It takes around 4 days from the time of infection until the person shows any symptoms. They are fully contagious during the incubation period. So if this strain is capable of infecting people as easily as human strains then yeah the cows have already left the barn.

As one expert I heard put it, if by mid next week there are 500 cases reported (he was talking about New York) then it is out of control and you can expect widespread infections.

I just heard this morning that the incubation period for this strain is 7 days. Since you didn't seem to understand my last post I'm guessing you won't see the significance of that. Plus, closing the Mexican border -- to legal crossing -- would be a piece of cake and only involve a couple of dozen entry point (already manned by U. S. officials). Closing the thousands of crossings between Texas and other bordering United States would be impossible.
