i can tell from looking at this guy that he would be soft in the NBA and would probably get pushed around/stuffed/outrebounded/dunked on by the NBA's superior black athletes.

It isn't the actual team's financial problems it is the country as a whole. Spain's economic problems are hurting Tau.
They had 8,500 season tickets sold this year already 9,000 for next year. They are doing fine.

But since Baskonia has so many troubles financially, the Spurs should be able to get him for a song. He'll definitely be an upgrade to the center rotation.
WTF is wrong with you? There no financial problem with the club. Damn you are ing re ed. Splitter can come in 2010.

I agree. Splitter automatically qualifies over Bonner.

He has a point about the black athletes though. The Olympic Argie farm team was a flash in the pan as far as it looks now so we won't be getting anymore potential Oberto, Scola, Nocioni fearless types who don't give a about the NBA stronger players... I don't know if Splitter is tough since he's not an Argie..

I hope this year , Spurs FO drafts a domestic center or forward to help out or something...We need to have more bulldogs and pittbulls, like Houston to help out Timmy in our defense now that Bruce Bowen will be gone.

The more I see this guy, the more underwhelmed I am - Lots and lots of layups - Can't jump very well, he just plain looks slow - And he looks slow against EURO compe ion - yikes - He is young, but if he's going to develop he needs to be here! - I just think there's going to be a better way to spend the big money in 10' than on a guy who looks to be something other than a sure thing, or even a maybe thing

    James in 10' as a SPUR! (I can dream can't I )?

If he does come over he is going to have to put on about twenty pounds of muscle to have any chance of living in the NBA.
