LOL...Horry was suspended 2 games for a "hockey check" that wasn't even this hard...but there is an elbow..if you can't see that...you're blind as a ing bat.
I can compare what Fisher did to this...even though it wasn't to his head...but I agree Kobe's wasn't that vicious.

MiamiHeat,
Is there a way to get a shot about a quarter second after this?
So we can see exactly where Kobme did/did not make contact?
Look on the first page of this thread...there's a gif.
Well maybe Fisher's intentions were the same of Howard's. End thread. Im tired of this whinning and crying.
I can really care less where he hit'em, throat, chest or neck!!!
The fact remains that he threw it, he shoulda been T'd up... refs ed up on that call!!
I'm still waiting for someone to say that was either unintentional or a natural basketball move.
Yes but it moves at the speed of dark.
Plus one can't stop it and freeze frame, or can they.
You got the tech skillz, i dont.
That and all the Laker Wussies who try and act like "I've never ed about a call, I've never complained about the refs." Duh dipsticks, you've never had to.![]()
nothing would make me happy than seing kobe suspended and the fakers losing in the second round, but this was no elbow in the neck. it hit artests in his collarbone, upper chest.
I am not worried about the elbow, or anything Derek "If I were a racehorse, I would be at the glue factory" Fisher does. The Lakers have been called pussies since they laid down so disgracefully in the finals last year, so they are a bit sensitive. Their manhood got threatened again and they did as expected. They didn't *play* tough (nice collapse in the second quarter, es), so they had to send out a has been guard to throw an elbow in the third quarter to "send a message." At home. To a fifth seed. I had the Lakers as the favorites to win it all, but I don't see it now.
People are mad at the Lakers for doing exactly what they criticized them for NOT doing last season.
You mean like you do with the Spurs?
"The Spurs are dirty" "The Spurs are soft."
Does it matter where the elbow landed? Would it be unintentional if elbow landed on the chest and not on the neck area? I think the question should be intentional or unintentional?. IMHO, Kobe should be suspended, it's clear that his intention was to hurt Ron Artest.
Anyone still think that was either a) unintentional or b) a natural basketball move?
Elbows are thrown all the time in the paint. It's one thing if you're throwing elbows at the top of the key or somewhere in halfcourt. But when you're under the basket fighting for position to get a rebound it's pretty much a brawl and everyone knows that.
This is the mother ing playoffs. Man up or go home es.
No, an elbow isn't supposed to be automatic suspension. An intentional blow about the shoulders should be. But he elbowed him in the upper chest. *shrug* If he was suspended that would be laughable.
Suspensions went down how they should of. Kobe should've been called a tech in game though-or I guess the flagrant 1 they gave him, he obviously knew artest was on him and threw a bow, but kobe's smart and the way he did it could've been seen to the typical eye as a basketball play.
Fisher's wasn't a head or elbow check, it was a full on shoulder check. Similar to a linebacker hit, he saw scola coming up, and instead of trying to avoid the the screen, lowered his should and completely put it straight into scola....the intentions were obvious to anyone who had a damn tv. That's why he got a game, and kobe didn't.
Done and done, next game though should be fun! I mean action like this makes it all the more fun for fans of teams that are already out...cuz normally i would just prob check a box score and say " , lakes won", now I'm actually going to watch.

So you're saying that was a natural basketball move?![]()
Lakers fans keep saying fouls happen in basketball, this is the playoffs, blah blah blah. They are implying Kobe's elbow was a natural basketball move, but they won't actually come right out and say it.
Still waiting...
