And just to tie this all together:

I once hit 2 HR in a Nolan Ryan no-hitter, owned a tiger, and once took a display bat that was never meant to be used by a human being and promptly hit 2 balls out of Arlington Stadium with it.

    Who am I?

Hmmm ... Julio Franco? I was going to say Juan Gonzalez but Franco would be the "tie". I know Franco homered during a Nolan Ryan no-hitter that I watched.

Although, the Tiger sounds more like something Juan Gone would do ... same with the homers.

    Was Julio

He didn't hit many HR but that's more because he didn't swing for homers. That bat was a display in Tom Grieve's office, I think they said it was about a 65-75 ounce bat that wasn't ever actually meant to be used to hit with and one day Julio said he could hit a HR with it and they told him he was crazy(which he was) and that he'd be doing good to even swing it much less make contact with an actual thrown ball with it, much less knock it out of Arlington stadium...so he grabbed it and knocked two balls out of Arlington stadium with it. No easy feat as Arlington stadium was a total pitcher's park.

And he did it holding it in his regular stance which was a kind of a freaksh one...he almost held the bat straight up in the air.

He was a strong dude, that probably could have hit a lot of HR if he wanted to, something that wasn't always apparent in his stats.

Was probably the only guy in history to win a batting le swinging a 40+ ounce bat. I believe he had the heaviest bat in baseball just about every year of his career.

And yeap, he owned a tiger. Juan Gone I think might have owned one too but if he did he got the idea from Julio... , he might have bought Julio's.
