I think the Magic would finish off the Cavs AND the Lakers in 6 games max.
Magic are like the Lakers of the East.
None of those teams can beat them

Wow
I don't think Orlando can beat L.A (despite what happened in the regular season)
Damn, it seems these refs are after the Magic!!
in Stern!
Orlando went up 40 on the Cavs and won the season series like 3-1 or 2-1. They also swept the Lakers in the season...it's not a fluke, they match up very well against both teams.
nice 3, but they still keep on missing howard at times.
oh man, i have to put up with another series of Garnett taunting from the bench.
Damn you Magic!
haha allen, nice play if 2 more seconds were on the clock.
true the magic have been getting a lot of calls. Seriously, the officiating has been about the same for both teams.
The ECF will be 5 games or less for the Cavs if they get the Magic. I laugh at people who think they will be so tough. They rely on their 3 point shot. When those 3's are being contested, Orlando will fall apart. Cavs D will literally suffocate them. When Howard isnt able to get deep in the paint, he is going to be ineffective. Orlando would be a much easier draw than Boston.
Cavs don't have the personnel to stop Howard....if they double Howard, the Magic rain 3's.
That's how they beat the Cavs by 40.
Lakers don't want any part of the Magic either, there's no shame in that.
Celtics would be doing everybody a favor if they win this game.
Howard doesnt have a low post game. Keep him away from the basket and he becomes a nonfactor. We have Bigman who can do that. Cavs D will suffocate the out of Orlando's O. Boston even without KG would be a tougher draw than the Magic.
Bigmen in 35 year old BigZ and Ben Wallace versus 25 year old Dwight? They lost by 40.
But it's too early to argue it, let's wait and see. I'd personally like the Lakers to face the Cavs or Celtics rather than the Magic.
You are using regular season games as reference. Lakers needed 7 games to beat a depleted Rocket team yet they swept them in the regular season. That shows you how much regular season means.
Rockets were close in all their losses, they could have won those games. Lakers never put a 40 point beating on them like the Magic put on the Cavs.
I'd be rooting for the Cavs in a Magic/Cavs series but I don't think the Cavs will get it done.
Cavs are a lock for the NBA Finals. The question is who comes out of the West.
You hope we dont get it done. Your sorry team needed 7 games to beat a depleted undersized rocket team. That is unacceptable for a so called elite team. Their D still sucks. Bynum needed Yao to get hurt to have 2 decent games at home. The kid is mentally weak and cant handle playoff pressure on the road. Gasol finally took advantage of the Rockets undersized bigs. He wont be getting that luxary the next 2 rounds. If you punch LA, they are scared to punch back. Lucky for them the Rockets injuries caught up to them.
I'm actually hoping the Cavs or Celtics make it out of the East, that guarantees a Laker championship.
I'm rooting against the Magic if they make it to the next round.
Your team isnt winning a championship. They arent mentally tough enough and their Defense sucks ass.
Kenny Smith said it best
"The Lakers don't deserve to win but they'll win the le because of their talent."
It's like the rich kids who do well in life because their parents are rich...you hate them because they don't deserve it but there's nothing you can do about it.
The only team that has the talent in the right places to beat the Lakers are the Magic.
I don't get that hook shot, it's like a sideways pre 2008 shaq free throw.
Talent alone wont get you a championship. If you lack the intangibles, it will catch up to you. If you lack a good D, it will catch up to you.
