How much cash would you guys put in your wallets normally?

I get out around 100 a week from the ATM to keep in the wallet. A buddy of mine doesnt use a wallet but a money clip and usually has a few thousand in his pocket. I tell him he is a dumbass for that.

Let me clarify

The reason why I ask you guys this question is that a friend of mine who is an American dude told me that you American people don’t like putting cash in your wallets and you guys uses credit cards only in your daily lives .is this true? If so, what if you want to buy a bottle of coke? Also credit cards only?
It’s extremely interesting for me to hear that cause Chinese like put a lot cash in our wallets (of course it is based on his income and his wealth) and yes, we have credit cards as well but most of the time we like pay cash to the bills or something we buy., for us, credit card is just for shopping centers and some high class restaurants.

The other reason why we prefer cash to credit card is that if a gentleman had a dinner with his significant other and if he pays cash for the bills always means the man is masculine. Why??? Its because when he paid the bills, the waiter must be returned to him for the change. At that time, he could give the “tips” to the waiter or waitress in order to show to the lady that how rich he is

Same. I have a rainy day hundo' in my wallet. I also take $100 out of my check. After that, its all plastic...for everything, everywhere.

I usually try to keep about $100 on me, but I never use cash. I use my Amex card for everything whether it's gas or a cup of coffee. I get rewards for everything I use it on, I don't get anything but a pocket full of change if I use cash. Sometimes I do feel embarrassed to use a card for little purchases.

My little cousin won my fantasy football league a year ago. He went to my bank and cashed my check for $5,500 and kept it all in his wallet. He got rolled and pistol-whipped later that night. They took his jacket, his shoes, his wedding ring, and his of course his wallet with the $5,500. It was a very expensive lesson for that dip to learn....

I get a $1000 in cash at the beginning of every month. I stopped using cc's or debit. I spend alot less now that I use cash for everything.

I don't keep any cash in my wallet but usually have 3-5 hundred in twenties in my front pocket. Too many places these days use cash drops and can't cash 50's and 100's...I'll use my debit card if the purchase is larger than that. Usually 500-1000 in my truck in larger bills just in case.

you would then save thousands alone on interst

Still, I find myself using my CC a lot of places to "save" my cash.
