What Rocketsfans don't know is that Ariza has a predisposition in his foot that allows it to break easier than normal. It's part of the reason Orlando was so willing to trade him in the first place.

LOL @ the Ariza dbagging from Laker fan. He was the more athletic version of Rodman and a better shooter than Kobe 3 days ago.

Over 2 years we went to back to back Finals have lost only 7 games in each one with one le to show for it. Back to back HCA in the playoffs and the 2nd best record both years ...

Ariza was agreat fit as a role player but where Artest helps ...when kobe or Gasol sits we still have a top notch defender and versatile scorer to pair with our bench ...

I do think outside consistent outside shooting is a concern we need Sasha to stretch the floor ...

I think the real question is whether you saw the Nip/Tuck episode where the guy asked for a surgery to make his penis smaller so he wouldn't be able to obsessively suck it all day long.
You should consider such a procedure.

Why mess with something good? Why not, if you can make it better? Ariza brings LESS to the table than Ron. As much as Ron chucks, Ariza's shot is suspect and most of his shots came from Kobe being double-teamed. They're Wide-open shots. Those same shots Ron has proved he can also make. Ron brings a tough defender who can guard stronger SFs the likes of Pierce, Carmelo, etc. that Ariza had trouble with.
Why make this move?
Because every other team is making changes and you can't just stand pat. Orlando has improved and Cleveland has made changes as well. Look at what happened to Boston after they won their championship. They thought they could coast to the Finals. Making minor changes, and an upgrade at that, can give a new focus to the team.
Artest willing to take a paycut to win shows me he really wants to help bring another championship to L.A.
