Was he ever able to extract that big Kobe Binder he was carrying around during the WCF from his ass where Bryant rammed it?
Why'd you run away from that other thread where we were discussing this very issue?

Gee, what a surprise.![]()
21, let's see first if Arty can handle the glare & difference playin' there. So many hotshots have went in there and ended up incapable of functioning on any level, must less the level they were signed for: Richmond, Murray, Radmo to name but three. , until this this past post season Odum could barely function.
Artest should strive to execute the easy plays. The difficult ones will be accomplished if he's lost in the compe ion and not watching it.
Richmond was washed up at 36. Murray and Rad are glorified scrubs.
I have no doubt whatsoever Artest will have his best defensive season since he was with Pacers.
Offensive is a different story. But I'm not really worried about it based on how much he wants to win and the fact that Phil Jackson and Kobe will be coaching him on a daily basis.
But seriously, Artest finished 5th in DPOY voting this season.
Last three years Artest was forced to shoulder the offensive load for his teams. Factor that in with him having no real defensive anchor next to him since Jermaine O'neal and the Lakers become Artest's defensive wet dream (Bynum/Pau both average close to 2 blocks and clog the paint at all times). Whether Ron wants to or not, he won't be shooting the ball 15 times a game on the Lakers. His main job will be to bring his best defense to the floor everynight. Mitch made that absolutely clear when he was signing him.
Considering how often the Lakers are on national TV and the fact that they'll win at least 65+ games guarantees Ron massive exposure, especially on the nights when he yet again, holds the Lebrons/Melos/Pierces to a crappy shooting night.
Picking Artest for DPOY is as good a prediction as any other player at this point.
Very true, and those are facts. Whether or not that nets him the DPOY is to be decided, but its a valid argument nonetheless
I'm gonna say LeBron. He won't deserve it, but the media will give it to him anyway
I didn't even have to open the tread, i already knew laker fan was gonna shout out artest or bynum name
Yeah, Ben Wallace won it in 02, 03, 05, 06, (Artest was 04), and I thought Tim was better in 03 at the very least. That was also the year he had his career highs in blocks, rebounds and defensive rebounds.
Get over yourself. Kobe had an average series at best and was single covered.
