Cyborg is a bad, bad lady. I'm genuinely afraid for Carano's face.
I really think Gina is going to get lumped up in this fight...

Gina is my number 1 hot chick right now but I hope she finally gets her ass whipped, she's had too many cakewalks.
If Gina wins, womens' fighting is finished. If she loses, at least we can look forward to a rematch.
Now Leo will start a disscussion that even if Gina wins - women still will be fighting
Right leo?
j/k man

I'm just confused why Gina WINNING would end women's MMA?? There are plenty of good women out there that would love the chance at Gina because honestly, they're probably better than her...just not as good looking.
ehhh if Gina wins the few of us who actually follow women's will become massively disinterested because she's had cakewalk fights every step of the way.
If she loses, that's a huge reason to turn into her next fight, because she won't be the beautiful all dominant women's mma face she's been since day 1.
Very simple to understand..
So if she wins, then the fight will be classified as a cakewalk? WUT??
I love womens MMA.... but in general...there is no womens MMA...there is only Gina.
Ultimate Fighting Championship has scheduled a e TV replay of selected fights from UFC 100 for Saturday, August 15 at 10 PM ET, directly opposite the Strikeforce: ‘Carano vs Cyborg’ event that’s set to air live on Showtime.
Fights to be aired from Zuffa’s mega-event include:
265 lbs.: Brock Lesnar vs. Frank Mir
185 lbs.: Dan Henderson vs. Michael Bisping
185 lbs.: Alan Belcher vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama
205 lbs.: Stephan Bonnar vs. Mark Coleman
155 lbs.: Shannon Gurgerty vs. Matt Grice
205 lbs.: Jon Jones vs. Jake O’Brien
sweet i get to see bisping get ktfo again lol
And the war is on with Strikeforce. This will get way better ratings, since as Dana says "Nobody watches Showtime"
Where the is GSP/Alves??
That fight sucked thats where it is hahaha
That fight was awesome, GSP dominates and entertains you tool..![]()
He is full of ............I watch it. MMA for nothing, other than your cable/satellite bill vs $50 for a fight that I can google 15 min. after its over? LOL I saw the whole Silva fight and didnt pay a in dime.![]()
And yet 200,000 people watched the last Showtime Strikeforce event and UFC 100 sold 1.5 million PPVS![]()
StrikeForce is in a mountain of trouble if Gina loses. She is a legit fighter but her uniqueness carries more weight than her skill. Die hards like me that want to see her fight for skill are rare. She had my attention on the first Showtime card where she had the fight of the night by a mile. Anyone remember that with the smoking dragon in the background?
She is a “camera girl” that crosses all genre’s and gives SF free publicity. Womens MMA is basically nonexistent aside from her. How many women can you or anyone else name outside her ‘book end’ weight classes???
There is simply far too many 5-2 type records in female MMA so there is little that is stable. SF has been trying to avoid dangerous fights for Gina so they wouldn’t lose their biggest free advertising golden ticket and I can’t blame them. They are in so much trouble if she loses and Scott Coker knows it. I want SF to be as successful as possible so for that reason alone I am rooting for Gina.
Dana White's such an ass, anyways I already know the outcome of the UFC stuff so I'll be catching Strikeforce.
He may be an ass but he works for the UFC and not MMA or Strikeforce. He's doing his job and Scott Coker would be doing the EXACT same thing to the UFC if he could.
I totally understand where you are coming from. But I think Gina is so dropdead gorgeous, and popular, that even if she loses, the fans that follow WMMA for her are still going to watch. They'll want to see her regain her top spot. She will still be the face of the women's side of the sport, especially so in defeat. It adds for a great story IMO.
If she wins, then, exactly like you said, who else is there? I think she's won so handily that she needs a loss, that way there's DRAMA. Drama will bring in more viewers in the long term, help the sport out. If she wins, then the sport will stay as it is now, and as the spotlight inevitably drifts away from Gina, the sport will be completely nonexistent.
I love Gina, and I will be pulling for her. Honestly though, I can see Cyborg just overwhelming her.
