if the left said half the that Glenn Beck did when Bush was in office the Republicans would be all over it, calling them unpatriotic. Republicans need to stand up to the bags (Beck, Limbaugh, Hannity, etc) and take back their party. Or else the moderate Republicans need to leave and form their own party. The moderate Republicans seem scared - scared that they don't have the numbers to compete - but I think they are wrong.

The far-left that supported Obama (kos, atrios etc) are mostly upset with him for walking back civil liberty violations. Blue Dogs don't care. I don't see much hypocrisy there.
Now I agree that Beck is out there at times. You have to understand Limbaugh and Hannity to know when they are serious, or exaggerating.
Now I don't necessarily agree moderate republicans need to leave, but the liberal ones do!
If you go by what the naming of the parties mean, shouldn't we all prefer republican, or belief in the republic? Democrats believe in the one-size-fits-all rather than states rights.
Not much in a name anymore though. The republicans have become democrats, and the democrats have become split between socialists and communists.
