better trade duncan and manu to!
they played for their counties to
spurs already traded bowen who wanted to play for his country
Duncan gets a free pass. He played for the United States. Clearly, USA > anyone else (at least France and Argentina, according to the Spurs organization).

No trade involving Parker is smart. Spurs ARE NOT in rebuilding mode, and the best chance we have to win a le is with Parker at the point.

And the idea that a championship team needs a pass first PG is an absolute myth. The three best pass first PGs in recent NBA history are probably Kidd, Nash, and Stockton. All three are ringless.

No GM in the league, not even Chris Wallace, would EVER do that trade. This thread is disgusting.

Trade Parker to Toronto for Jose Calderon, Antoine Wright, and Toronto's first round pick next year. The salaries match. We would get a very good PG who distributes first and shoots second. Wright might be worth having. If not, buy him out and save part of his salary - Toronto can re-sign him on the cheap then, if they want to. We would also get a decent draft pick, plus salary relief for next season.

The Canadians would get a star PG who speaks French, and lives to play for the French NT. They might not even mind if he screws their season because of injuries from summer ball. Their expectations are already so low. Sacre Bleau... everybody is happy.

Then we could sign Iverson for the LLE, and still put another banner up at the end of the season.

Maybe when we're done with that we can trade Duncan to Washington for Antawn Jamison, Nick Young, and a first round draft pick next year!

Yes, that's a stupid ass trade. So is yours.

why would you give up 1 top three pg for one that is not in the top 15 and a pick that would probably come with lottery protectcion?

This shows that all the stupid "trade Tony" threads aren't exclusive property of the CoM. I've seen all the CoM members stand on Parker's side on this argument.

And so was the Bowen/Thomas/Oberto for RJ trade before IT actually happened.

Dum dum dum dum de dum dum dum

Why are people still trying to trade the Big 3 when we've just massively upgraded the players around them?
    + 1

Agreed. The massive upgrade needs the Big 3 intact and not broken up. And with TD's window closing why would you trade your PG - agruably the most difficult position to play - for another one who would then have to learn the system? That makes not sense due to the fact that it takes at least a year to get a handle on the Spurs system. That fact conflicts with TD's closing window. Bad idea.

No trade involving Parker is smart. Spurs ARE NOT in rebuilding mode, and the best chance we have to win a le is with Parker at the point.
    Exactly.

Why are Spurs fans trading Tony Parker again?
It wouldn't be ST if one or all of the Big 3 weren't on the trading block.

Woah woah woah. Don't sell Chris Wallace short. He gave up Gasol for less than that.
I just felt like using Wallace's name.

We're talking about the best player on the Spurs! So I had to go to drastic measures to prove my point
