Declining Duncan?? Dirk is a year or so YOUNGER than Duncan, so Dirk is on the decline too if you wanna stick to your logic. I like to lurk at other boards and see what they're saying. Most give the Spurs respect while hating them at the same time. But the Dallas board takes the cake.

Most of them are saying that McDyess is no better than Thomas and Oberto. Ratliff is washed up and Blair is a 2nd round that will be lucky to see the court. They also think Gooden is a better player than McDyess.

They also claim that Marion is 10 times the player Jefferson is.

I get it's a Dallas board and they think they have the better team but I can't believe how many are dismissing the moves the Spurs made.

Marion is not 10 times better. However he is better. Jefferson can score and run. Marion can score, rebound, run, play ELITE defense.

Its a possibility they might get the jump on us winning 3 out of 4. The reason is because the spurs have trouble handling versatile players ( i.e. Odom / Lewis / Durant ). The spurs have had trouble with Josh Howard, because if his versatility. He can shoot the 3 / post / get to he rim and finish. Marion Is another versatile Player with the same abilities. He can easily fit in the Mavs system because 1 - they know how to use a player of his capabilities, cause they have Josh Howard 2 - He is use to playing with Jason Kidd. While the spurs haven't had a player like Jefferson since Derek Anderson was here, and back then it was a different offensive system the spurs ran. They had their 2 big men Tim/David and the 3rd option was DA as the only Wing/Perimeter scorer. Now the spurs have 1 -Duncan 2 - Parker 3 - Manu and Jefferson is going to have to adjust bigtime in his shot selection. The spurs are gonna have to adjust bigtime to utilize him in their offense. Remember the spurs arent use to having a wing player run the floor and finish at the rim with dunks.
