they should build a roof like in wimbledon and melbourne. The center court is too big though i don't know if it's really possible.
Mainly the 300 pd fat asses, that watch Football every sunday..
I've played Tennis and have watched it faithfully for years. But it is a terribly under-appreciated sport. Golf gets more pub than Tennis, Tiger Woods farts and ESPN shows up..

I don't know if this works as a consolation for you, but I think that's mainly a US thing. In the rest of the world Tennis is equal or more important than golf. Here in South America Tennis gets 100 times more press than golf and in the UK Tennis is huge (see Murray's ridiculous hype).
in france:
1-football
2-rugby
3-tennis
15-golf
See, that's what I'm talking about, I think that only in the US golf is more important than Tennis. When Cabrera won the Masters, the headlines of all sports papers and magazines here in Argentina was a victory of Del Potro over Nadal in the quarters of a Masters series. That's how much bigger than golf tennis is down here.
Here in Germany, tennis used to be quite popular too. But that was when we had Becker and Stich, not to forget Steffi Graf, maybe the best female tennis player ever.
Right now, there are only scrubs like Haas or Kohlschreiber.
So, play has been suspended for today. I guess that means they have to reschedule both Men's-SFs for sunday?
The Men's semifinals will be on Sunday, and the final is rescheduled for Monday: http://www.usopen.org/en_US/news/weather.html
currently more rain delays, so CBS is showing the 2005 US Open Final between Federer and Agassi
Rewatched it, amazing match..
Did somebody watch Serena-Clijsters? that was ... strange.
australia
1.swimming
2.rugby union/league
3.aussie rules
4.cricket
5.soccer
6.tennis
Golf b4 basketball down here
hence when the national team plays > everything else...mainly rugby/soccer and then everything else...instead of buying different jerseys for different sports, just buy a yellow shirt and you fit right in everytime the national side plays...
clijsters
too bad for the ending, but she deserved to win anyway.
Del Potro got the first break of the 1st set and just got another game on Nadal; up 4-1 in the 1st set
Nadal is not 100%, is he?
His knees are still sore. And in his match against Fernandez he was grimacing with abdominal pains. You can see it when he serves as he doesn't bend his knees too much and just settles for serves that get in instead of going for possible aces.
Amazing how well he played in his last match, all things considered. I think he could beat me with one leg and one arm. Crazy.
to be fair Del Potro is playing quite well as of late. If should surprise you that Nadal would have to be playing his best tennis in order to beat him.
Well I didn't expect Nadal to win today, I'm just surprised he won his last match so convincingly.
He's definitely not well. That's for sure. A healthy Nadal wouldn't be losing 6-2 6-2 4-1
Del Potro just gave Nadal his biggest loss in a grand slam tournament: 6-2 / 6-2 / 6-2, total beatdown. I called it.
Federer in straight sets, as well. Great shot.
Best Shot ever by the best player ever
Fed will have a tough one tomorow though..
I don't know about that, unlike Nadal, Federer has the game style to beat these tall heavy hitters, I think the Swiss will win in three straight fairly easy sets.
Hope so, we'll see, back to back match anything can happen
Well done Clijsters!
Her kid's adorable (sorry! That's the daddy in me speaking)![]()
