Cool, thanks.
And then there were 2.
Whether we fill those spots or not, at least we've now got a 10-team league. Looking forward to the draft!![]()

Looks like he missed out. We've got 12 teams now. He'll have to wait until next year, I guess.
Sorry, mistake, draft still at same time.![]()

If anyone wants in on a Roto league I have two spots open in my ESPN league
some bodys got to do it. At least you get 2 back to back solid picks. you could scoop Roy and Howard if its there.
aight if you have the first pick in the first round, then you will have the last pick in the second round. you have the last pick in the first round, but you will get the first pick in the second round. The entire draft you will get back to back picks. you wont be able to land kobe or lebron but you can still draft just as good of a team as anyone else.
Well done, guys, and a big THANKS!!! for joining the league.
Who are the mods in here? I asked LJ yesterday, and he didn't object to me stickying this thread at the top of the forum - please help mods.
Also, I have a surplus of PGs, so if you need assists and 3s Duhon and Augustine are on the block for a PF type. Make an offer, I've already made 4!![]()
RuffnReadyOzStyle just for future reference, ESPN > Yahoo! generally. They're both free but ESPN is just put together better.
That may be. However this is Spurstalk people who expect to get dogged and love trash talking.
No risk of getting kicked out for trash talking here. Good times.
I don't think there's any risk in an ESPN league either.
kbury - you are getting great value for that trade, but so am I in that I din't need Duhon (I like DJ more), it balances out my team, and Turiaf gives me production across the board, even a bit in assists.
Mutually beneficial.
I haven't played an ESPN league, but I find Yahoo to be very easy to use.
They're both pretty easy to use but ESPN has a better fit and finish and better tools. Free scoring updates too which Yahoo! doesn't have (last time I used Yahoo! it didn't at least). Just something to keep in mind for next year.
I guess they finally wised up and realized ESPN and other services had free stat updates.
Fair enough.
BTW, are you in the league or just being helpful? I don't see a team named "Shastafarian".![]()
I'm not in the league no. I'm actually looking for 2 people to join my ESPN league. I've been in both ESPN and Yahoo! and ESPN just seems more put together. Maybe Yahoo! has upgraded this year though.
I'd play with you, but I already have 6 teams (2 h2h, 2 roto, 2 DL) and I reckon that's about my limit.![]()
Majority of the league needs to vote against a trade to veto it, but the veto mechanism is not there to be used at whim - it's to prevent people giving lopsided trades to their friends when they are out of the running. Message to all - later in the season, DON'T DO THIS. If you try I will over-ride it as Commish. It is the only thing I will override, but I hate that because it is basically cheating.
As for your offer lakaluva, nope. I'm keeping Evans. Now that I've swapped Duhon for Turiaf, my roster is balanced and I'm going to stand pat for a while.
PS Just for fun, and because DWill only plays twice this week, I'm going to start Duhon.![]()
You and balli both!![]()
I forgot all about the draft until I saw the fantasy basketball scroll on ESPN as I was getting ready for work this morning. Sorry I missed it guys. I went out of town for the weekend and it slipped my mind.
Just a little request of the league - I understand if you reject ridiculous trades without a word, but it would be nice to give a short explaination why you reject a trade if it fits what you're asking for. Thanks.
