Now THAT is not a bad idea. I'd pay the seven team option price to get all the games, especially if I could screw the NBA at the same time.
It is what I do with my Laker fan of a brother, lol. Good deal for sure. They do not actually have to live close to you. They can live any where in the US and it still works.

The reason I said close was because sometimes you might want to watch the game on TV.

You can definitely hook up your PC to your tv. If you only care about watching the Spurs, then getting the broadband is the way to go. It is the cheapest and the quality is pretty good.

Are you refering to the quality on your tv screen connected to your PC with a cable?
I have a bad feeling that quality will be a big blur.
If you got a HD tv, I expect the quality to come close to watching via PC.
    If not..........blur?

Can anybody inform us from own experience please?

I've got my laptop connected to an HDTV via HDMI...the quality of LP Broadband last season was VERY GOOD. Near TV quality. Forget those online streams like justin.tv or whatever, this was way better.

Last year I bought just LeaguePass Broadband for $90, as opposed to the $180 for the tv package with free broadband. I figured that even with the reduced quality/convenience of having games only on my laptop, the price difference reflected that. But this year they want to charge $135 for broadband ONLY, but $160 for the full tv package PLUS free broadband (pre-season prices)? According to my math, for an extra $25 I get the full tv package. So that's obviously a better deal. Of course, if you don't already have a hefty cable package but do have broadband internet access your situation would be totally different, but for me the price of the broadband package only is so high that the combo package is practically a 2-for-1 deal.

Hi I just ordered NBA LP broadband ($89.99 package) and I hope someone here could answer my question. My internet download speed is slower than 1Mbs (their requirement) so I doubt I can watch games live. However, does slow internet speed affect me watching archive? Or could I simply load the whole game before watching it?

The reason why my speed is slower than 1Mbps is because I am connecting via VPN. The country I am currently in does not provide NBA league pass broadband nor International League pass Broadband.

I don't think you can download the games or pre-load the whole game before watching it. Its always streaming from their servers if I'm not mistaken. Sorry bout that.

If you can watch shows on Hulu or some other archived shows online, then maybe it would work.

Thanks for the reply. I tried watching hulu just now and is pretty laggy for me.
I guess I will have to stick to it since I already paid the $$.

Or, just get the 7 team package for 89.00. It is the cheapest option (2 payments of 45.00). Or cancel your cable and you can easily afford the LPB 7 team option. If you want to watch a nationally televised game, just go to a friends place or go to a bar.
Oh snaps, I thought you had to pay straight up. So what are the deadlines?

MF, my seven teams would include a team from each division to ensure as few overlapping games as possible, and then try to decide from there. I'd probably pick San Antonio, Denver, Miami, Cleveland, Boston and the Clippers and then either Utah or Portland as the seventh just to get a few extra western conference games.
Damn, you've given me something to think about. And I can't believe I forgot about Denver, they're like that you sleep with but say you'd never touch when you talk to your friends. I'll probably stay with my list, since I'll rarely watch a game the Spurs aren't playing in anways. And why the Clippers, Griffin? I might pick the Nets for Lopez.

You have to make your all-NBA access membership first, and then it'll lead you from there..

Wow, this won't work for me on explorer or firefox, me.

And to DPG, why does the site say 1 payment of 90? If it is two payments like you say, that is just ruh ed.

Sorry to post consecutively, but I've just gone thru a couple of the steps to get LPB, and it is saying that the $90 will be a recurring charge at the beginning of each season. , if I forget and I accidently delete the NBA email reminding me (I always delet NBA emails), I hope I just don't have $97 on my card. And it says 1 charge of $89.95 DPG, did I miss the chance to pay $45 2x?

No, it is only a one payment option. I was just breaking it down some other way.

Denver's always a potential train wreck, but they're a lot of fun to watch. I think Griffin's going to be fun to watch as it is, and there's nobody else in that division I care about. If I want to watch the Lakers, I can get the highlights of every game in HD from that Laker fan site, if it's still up, so there's no point in wasting a pick on them. The quality of video on that site kicks the crap out of League Pass quality.

You said, "2 payments of $45" -- indicating that it could be paid in two payments. Now the guy order it thinking that was an option. What was the point of saying "2 payments" if that was a real choice?

I thought it was when I was typing it, because I was outlining a bunch of different options. I got confused with the different options (LP early bird, regular, broadband reg, broadband 7 team option).

Question: If I purchase the League pass broadband and then go out of the country, will I still be able to watch the games online? Or will they block my IP address?

Indeed. I felt dumb for being confused.

So is GSW supposed to be good this year? I might pick them over the Lakers. Or I might pick the Nuggets and say FU to the Pacific division.

Oh, and how long is the $89 deal going to be available. I plan on getting it in the next week, so I should be good right?

Didn't I read somewhere that Nellie is thinking of playing a 6'2" guy at small forward? I can't imagine they'll be good, but they're liable to be entertaining.

I wouldn't blame you for bypassing the Pacific altogether. The Lakers won it by like 20 games last year, and nobody has improved at all. Even if Ron Artest destroys the team the Lakers are taking that division in a cake walk.

Indeed. I'm going to switch my list to Spurs, Magic, Portland, Nuggets, Jazz, Bulls, and the Nets. the Cavs, Celtics, and Lakers, I don't really like two players in any of their main rotation. Nets really only have one in Lopez, but since he apparently is basing his game of Timmy's with success, I want to follow him, and see it with my own eyes. Plus, Harris is fun to watch when he isn't pulling a Tony on the Spurs 4x a year.

No; I did that last year and I had to purchase international LP, in addition of the LP (US version) I paid already and could not use anymore overseas.

Can anyone that already has ILPB confirm something for me. I have a 3mb connection (supposedly), which means that the highest speed I can download at is around 360kbps. Will that be enough to watch games uninterrupted? or will I have to be buffering like a mother er? 'cause if that is the case, its not worth the money IMO.

Of course not, that would be the stupidest move ever for the NBA to allow that. lol
hmmm, I just chequed on another forum for P2P's and apparently there are people all over the world, sharing accounts. So, I guess the NBA is just stupid?
