But they have stud/lobe earrings. The answers you're getting here may be exaggerated for effect, but you did ask for opinions. Maybe it's a cultural difference (you do, after all, live on a different continent), but those weird little loopy earrings are for emo boys or meth-head rock stars here. It also might be an age difference. Maybe your peers don't have any problem with the piercings, but if the "old" people on ST think they're ugly, chances are the "old" people where you live think they are, too, and old people are the ones who do the interviewing or hiring, so you should at least take our opinions under consideration.

Speaking of porn. I was watching a video online the other day and the guy in the video had his belly button pierced. I've never seen a guy with their belly button pierced so I couldn't help but stare at. I missed the whole damn scene.
Do guys really get their belly buttons pierced?
If i'm not mistaken, it was actually a fad for guys before it was a chick thing (heard a few friends reference it over time). Why would any guy want that even then may be a more appropriate question

But when I went to get my eyebrow pierced when I was in college (it's long gone now, but I still miss it a bit now and then), a group of drunk guys stumbled in to the tattoo/piercing parlor and slurred that they had come from a bachelor party and wanted tattoos.
The shop won't tattoo someone who is visibly drunk, but neither do they want to turn away good business. So the piercer behind the counter sweet-talked them into getting piercings done instead and then leaned across the the counter and winked at me and said, "Piercings can be taken out when they sober up in the morning, but tats are a lot harder and more expensive to remove."
And I watched the groom - a big football player/frat boy sort of fellow, hold his friends hand while they pierced his belly button.

It must be a big cultural difference then because I'm far from an emo or a crackhead. And each person I've seen with similar piercings haven't been either. Looks like you're living from a stereotype. Understandable if you dont like piercings but I doubt everyone who has my piercings are meth heads or emos. Seems like a generalisation
Most people who have a piercing like that are the s who shop at hot topic and think it's cool to wear pink. Maybe is just different out here.
