Win or lose, I'd like to see the Spurs actually look something like the team they've been at home on the road; Thunder game excluded..
No they don't, but I heard they have the parade route all planned out.

No chance in we win this game. Spurs were getting bad calls in San Antonio against this team, can you imagine the horse calls in Dtown?
Also, Josh Howard will be out, which might actually be a bad thing. He chunked up like 7 straight horrible misses against us last game, all within three minutes. Didn't look like Spurs kryptonite. Helped us get running and score points lol.
Seriously though, no way we win this game. Spurs are still playing lineup derby.
If the Spurs lose, it won't be because of lack of talent, but rather because of a lack of team chemistry.
However, I'm excited to see how the Hill-Parker backcourt works out against Dallas.
Lets go Mavericks!

Dirky...Kill the Spurms and the Tin Man
Excuses mother er...excuses
I think the Mavs are going to win.
spurs fans sound scared in this thread. nut up. Spurs by 12
9th game of the season is a must-win
.... *sigh*
vBookie on over/under for Dirks FTA?
+/- 45
I would not say it is a must win. However, it is a division game and it is against the Mavs. If the Spurs win, it gives them confidence for the matches ahead.
There's actually a really good chance that will be true. Joey's in Houston tonight and hasn't worked a game in Dallas this year.
I'm pretty confident that Joey either has SA/DAL on Wednesday or UTH/SA on Thursday.
I start the season presuming a Spurs/Mavs split. If either team gets a road win in the first 2 matchups, they gain a distinct advantage in winning the season series; it was important for the Spurs to get the game in SA last week. But they're not likely to sweep the Mavericks and they're very likely to lose one or both games in Dallas. If they lose on Wednesday, it will be par for the course. I can't say that losing a game in that situation would be disasterous for the Spurs.
So I guess if you're down 3 - 2 in game 6 of the conference semis, that's not a must-win either? Or if there's one spot left in the playoffs, and a win would get you in, that's not a must-win either?
Settle down cowboy, let's not get carried away here.
This is a good time for Pop to create a rotation and stick with it win or lose.
I still like Duncan, Dice, RJ, Manu and Parker on the floor a the beginning of the game. These guys need to learn how to play together so let them play.
Definitely not a must win game, but , why not win it anyway ...
Could be an opportunity for a big game by TD, since both Dampier and Marion likely won't play.
No Dampier?
So that means we'll be going small all game so we don't have an unfair advantage right? I mean thats what we've been doing all season, letting the other team dictate our lineups, so why stop now...
[/leftover smallball rant]
If Dampier and Marion are both out and Howard has a twisted ankle, it is looking more like a blow out win for the Spurs.
this is exactly what mavfans said last week when we didn't have Duncan + Parker. and look what happened.
let me remind you we lost to the OKC thunder
It says butthead on your avatar, but should say d-bag homer
spurm is actualy a Spur fan
I hope we get vbookie as early as tonight. I'm going out of town tomorrow, and I want to place a bet before I leave.
Last time I thought I bet 16,000 for Jefferson to get over 17 points. I was all excited while at the game thinking I won $32,000.
I got home and logged on to ST and apparently, I had mistakenly bet $16 not $16,000, so I ended up with a grand total win of $32.
My bad![]()
The Spurs need to get some kind of momentum going. I know it's early, but even Pop admitted the early games mean more now than they did last year.
Having said that, I think the Mavs are gonna curb stomp the Spurs.
But I also thought the same a week ago
