Spurs need to get it going.

Orlando blowing away OKC so far today. Spurs are a long, long ways off the elite teams. Well not that far, but lots of work to do to get there.

    In case anyone missed it.

Parker will not play -- again
    By Jeff McDonald

Stop us if you've heard this one. Tony Parker will miss tonight's game against the Dallas Mavericks with a sore left ankle.

Parker aggravated the injury in the first quarter of Saturday's game against Oklahoma City, when he landed awkwardly on a teammate, and has been limited in practice since.

"Richard Jefferson did it," Parker said with a smile. "He didn't do it on purpose."

After tweaking the ankle, Parker returns to the day-to-day carousel.

"It's nothing big," he said. "I'll be fine."

This marks the second time in a week Parker, who averaged better than 30 points against Dallas last season, will miss a game against his old foil. Parker and Tim Duncan both missed games against Toronto and Dallas with sore ankles. The Spurs won them both.

Parker's absence will once again return second-year guard George Hill to the starting lineup. Hill averaged 16.5 points and three assists in the two games without Parker.

    Where did you hear that?

    Thanks Duncan228.

Well TP and NT I am not liking.

Now before anyone jumps on me saying they were not related injuries that is true, but Tony has been fatigued all season.

I don't believe that, fitting in these new players has effected him a lot.

I don't know if it was from his NT play, but he clearly looks slower so far this year..he's struggled with the new players, but that doesn't affect his explosiveness and ability to finish at the basket..

I rather have Manu come of the bench but it is good to see Mcdyess in the starting lineup

spurs need more offense in the lineup with parker out. ginobili can also quickly take over point guard duties if hill isn't up for it.

You know what I would rather people stop forcing Manu to come off the bench.

    I'd rather Manu start.

Looks like Pop doesn't want Manu to warm up and then sit on the bench with that hammy; a good precautionary measure.

Just watching the Bobcats game. Stephen Jackson is playing awesome.

Huge 4th quarter in Philly as they have grabbed a 3 point lead late in the game after trailing the whole game.

btw I am not trying to start up anything, just saying he is playing good and was wondering how he'd fit on a Larry Brown coached team. A lot of those bobcats players are not that smart from what I've seen so far. G Wallace looks great hustling, but not sure about his BBall IQ.

I like that move putting Manu in the starting lineup. It will be interesting to see how that backcourt works together. I expect another solid game from Hill and hopefully RJ can have a big game with so many Mavs injured.
