i've only watched the first 3 episodes so far and they were good. I need to download the remaining episodes though.

The first three were solid, although things start to become pretty lame with the third episode. But, once you get into the whole President Dibala episode, everything just turns to complete crap.

The start of the season held so much promise, what with House have to deal his personal demons and getting check mated at every turn by Andre Brauer (forgot his character's name).

Then, after he leaves the mental ward and goes back to work, it just gets all sorts of stupid.

I will say this, the mid-season finale was pretty damn good. It is Wilson-centered and it gives the show that added weight, gravitas if you will, that it sorely missed for the majority of the season.

However, overall, so far the season has been just a HUGE disappointment.

I haven't seen Dexter yet. Though I liked the Sopranos, there were times, especially during the last seasons, where it felt a little bloated (no pun intended).

I'm also really starting to like Burn Notice on USA when I've caught it.

1.)Dexter -- gets 1st nod because of its originality...
2.)The Sopranos -- Gritty, visceral, and epic...got a little redundant and listless towards the end, but great enough.
3.)Six Feet Under -- Dealt with death from what it is; death. The show that launched Michael C. Hall's career.
4.)The Wire -- Very well-written and completely let its realism dance the night away. Baltimore is no joke...
5.)Dead Like Me -- Very too brief run, it had a mixture of both drama and wit. One of the better shows of the past decade that many probably have never heard of up to this point.

Never saw The Wire, but I'm going to torrent it soon to give me something to watch during the weeks in the fall season while I wait for Dexter, Boardwalk Empires, and Eastbound and Down on Sunday nights.

Never saw the Sopranos either but I saw the last episode. I might watch it some day in the future but if I had seen it I'm sure I'd probably have it number one, and The Wire would probably be two.
