This ain't ST. This is the NBA Forum, DPG.

Odd. I have always found it to be the people that pass judgement are the most annoying.
I'm Portland born and raised so I was a Blazers fan when I was young. Then I saw a Spurs/Bulls game during David Robinson's rookie year and I became interested in the Spurs. Over the next couple years, I became more of a Spurs fan and less of a Blazers fan to the point where I hated the Blazers for most of the 90's. I'm still a Spurs fan first and foremost but I do root for the Blazers and/or the Lakers so long as they're not playing the Spurs.
Firstly i'm a fan of the game, I will watch any game. Celtics/Lakers or Nets/Knicks. Became a Spurs fan when I saw them for the first time over here in the 94/95 season on video tape.
Come on DPG... I wasn't laughing at my joke. I was directly laughing at YOU! And even though you may think i have 2 strikes, it takes 3 to get an out and we LA people can always pull out a Kirk Gibson on ya!
If you were laughing at me, then there is no need to quote my post twice to defend yourself. Just let it be.
started really getting into sports when I was 9 in 1984 when the tigers won the world series. I root for every single Detroit team. Always have. Always will. I am also a spartan fan for life. will never change no matter what.
Nothing to defend DPG. Just setting you straight.
When you say "widely considered the most annoying people on earth"... please define "widely condisered". You have factual data to prove your point or are you once again just flappin the lips and projecting your own opinion as one of the masses? I'm guessing the latter.
Hey, Flint, have you visited that room the Spurs built here for ya, AFTER they built that shoe store in your ass in the Finals? Go on in there, kid.
I've always been a Spurs fan, but I do had a time when Glen Rice was my favorite player, back in the days when he was with the Hornets.
Born in PA and then moved to Bulverde, Texas (like 30 min outside of SA) when i was 2. Had season tickets till I moved to TN for highschool. I was actually a huge Dallas Stars, Cowboys and Astros fan as well. I pretty much grew up just watching and playing sports. It was tough moving away and never getting to see those teams...but it's been nice that the Spurs get their ESPN/TNT games.
Been a Spur fan ever since i discovered basketball in year 6 of primary school... I believe i caught 'NBA Action' on Saturday/Sunday and they possibly had a feature on DRob... also, i received a subscription to an Australian NBA Magazine around the same time for my birthday, and they had another feature on him. Strangely, i was hooked
So, it's been 17 years of Spurs fandom... and loved every minute of it.
LOL, I bet people are more comfortable with admitting they've gone through a divorce than changing their sports team.![]()
Nope. Never. Became an NBA/Spurs fan in 04.
Memphis Grizzlies for life, es. I am sure many of the current Laker fans change their favorite teams when it seems fit.
remember when the clips were good and stars all off a sudden started showing up for games?
spurs fan ever since following sports back in 03-04 (but i root for whichever team thats playing the lakers )
I started following football and basketball in the early/mid 90's. Because of my location, you were a Mavericks/Cowboys fan by default. I was a fair weather of both of these through my childhood, but things changed after I got into middle school...when my cousin moved up here from Houston. Since we were very close and spent a lot of time together I started following the Rockets and Oilers.
Watching the Dream developed my love for the game and the dominant big man...so I was naturally drawn to the Spurs after Duncan was drafted. I pretty much had dual fanship for a while but I found myself more and more of a Spurs fan as I loved the way they played the game and the way the organization carried themselves with humility and class. Seeing them fall short in the early 2000's and then tasting the championship in '03 sealed me as a fan forever.
Though it's not popular among my brethren, I still like the Rockets. They are the only other team I would want to win a le if the Spurs could not.
What the is with the hostility? Was just answering the thread.
Yes.. all the time
I was a Dodger fan growing up, but I've been a Yankee fan for about the last 10 years or so.
I was a Cowboys fan during Troy Aikman years, but a Steelers fan before that and after that.
I was a Suns fans when I was a little girl. I was a Jazz fan for a while during Hornacek's time. I had Clippers and Lakers season tickets. And obviously I'm a Spurs fan.
I don't really have any loyalty to sports teams, except UCLA![]()
Nope, been with the SUNS for 22 years.
I'm very close to kicking them to the curb though....if they don't begin to do the things required to win les very soon I'm done with this franchise.
jumpshooting small ball garbage teams.
Things like defense, rebounding and toughness are NOT a part of the culture here.....thus (cue Cubby)..........>>>>>>0-41
I have never changed teams. I have always been an NBA fan and will defend them to the grave. Can't stand the NFL/NHL/MLB.
Your excuses are your own.
One honest post so far.![]()
