Sure and while I'm at it I'll ask Bonner to start making his 3', get more rebounds and play better defense, to Tony to pass the ball, to Finley to retire , to Pop to play Theo, to Mason to start making his shots
I knew I shouldn't have let Pop and RC talk me into it.
15 million...15 million...15 million!

I was at the Clipper game Saturday and sat two rows behind the Spurs bench. I carefully watched Jefferson...his body language, interaction with his teammates etc. It seemed to me he is still too concerned with what he is doing rather than what the team is doing. Even though the Spurs were killing the Clippers, Jefferson would come to the bench talking to himself about something that had just happened to him. He didn't react to others making plays, like Hill being on fire, he just kind of sulked because of his play. I understand an athlete being upset at not performing well, but it is a long game with plenty of time to redeem yourself. He starts off poorly and his head stays with it the rest of the game. Tim and Manu didn't have stellar performances yet they were very enthusiastic on the bench, happy that the team was winning easily. I don't think he has lost his individual iden y yet and until he thinks of himself as just another member of the team he is going to struggle.
Salary dump. Do it RC.
GTFO Jefferson. And take Bonner and Finley with you.
Just for the of it
Nice...
Nice bump :P
I am happy to stay I was still sitting in the pews waiting patiently.
He's actually not scoring much more than at the beginning of the year.
But he's hustling a lot more on both ends, which is all anyone really wanted to see, and as a result his 2-point FG% has skyrocketed, and he's rebounding, defense, and overall effectiveness are much better.
Pop keeping him at the 3 no doubt has helped, too.
Good job, RJ. Now you have to show you can make a difference in the postseason, too.
This is why I have been very careful in my criticism of Jefferson and McDyess. Now I get to gloat and not look like an asshole.
If you gloat now, and they lay an egg in the playoffs, MISSION FAIL.
.
Well, at least I got my wish with Finley.![]()
i truly believe RJ shows up in the playoffs
Exactly. I liked the way he didn't just settle for junpshots and drove the lane late in the 4th against Sac. Earlier on I think he would have juat shot the J, Now if he doesn't make the shot at least he goes to the line.
And yes he had better do well in the POs or all of this will have been for nothing.
This is why I am being very careful with my gloating . . . but, seriously, I think ting on your team when they are struggling is the bigger "fail", to use your lingo.
Sorry if your delicate sensibilities were offended.
I apologize for causing RJ to suck the first half of the year, and then compounding the issue by pointing it out.
I am not gloating. Even if RJ lays the biggest egg I have ever seen, I will still be here sitting in the pews. He wouldn't be the first Spur to do it and won't be the last. I am just supporting my team through thick and thin.![]()
what a stupid statement.
Jefferson was sucking for about 65 games, we had no right to critizize him during that time?
Jefferson should thank manu for his turnaround. that, I'm still not sold on RJ.
Well, since you have absolutely zero perspective on why Jefferson struggled (the whole team srtruggled, by the way) and that it wasn't completely his fault, then I don't really give a what you think. Point is, a lot of people put a whole lot of undeserved blame on Jefferson very early on and I took a more patient approach.
Jefferson has been reasonably solid since the all-star break and I don't see him regressing at this point. He has become the player I expected he would be. Manu deserves a lot of credit, but RJ has done it mostly on his own under a tremendous amount of pressure.
Go wipe your nose and get yourself a sense of humor.
bump again
meh.
who here did not totally expect him to fade i the 2nd half?
Classic. And agreed.
