He can be pissed...and he can GTFO too.
He can be pissed...and he can GTFO too.
Trading all veteran players (TP, Manu and even TD if he wants it to a contender) would bring in loads of young players and picks.
So... if the team fails this year and TP wants to play then YES, blow up the team and rebuild.
Icing on the cake on trade deadline day...
What can we get in return for our expirings, Manu, and Tony?
, things just get better and better...![]()
Unbelievable! TP is hurting due to his playing way too much BB and not getting the proper rest. He hurt himself last summer playing for the NT and now, already hurt, he is going to play for the NT this summer? This could be the beginning of the end for him. If he gets hurt more and loses a step on the court his becomes just another average PG. His game will disappear faster than a serving of Creme Bleu.
If TP plays this summer then I would be open to trading him. The wear and tear of too much BB is showing and when he breaks down he will be only a s of his former self as the Spurs starting PG. That is not acceptable.
From what others have indicated this may have been a negotiating tactic that will most likely fail against the Spurs FO/Pop. If TP is traded then I agree with Timvp that most likely that will decide Manu's fate, too. If so and without a blockbuster of a trade, which I don't see coming, then the Spurs are in rebuilding mode. At that point might as well trade TD for something - God I don't believe I said that! The concept of trading TD to me is heresy but it might come to be. But if you are going to go to that extreme then it makes sense trading TD, too.
I'm running out of monitors to throw.
Parker is dumb as .
Maybe 4 days in the NBA wouldn't feel like a month if he rested in the summer. He's already a busted 27.
If Tony does play this summer, he'll be telling Pop to bring ambalamps.
This is interesting. from here, i had not picked this info about the fact that the spurs had tried to trade his ass earlier in the season.
I would not over-react to this interview, as it seems to be mostly the reaction here. We don't have all the information about what's behind.
facts :
- remember the Jason Kidd story
- the balance between what the spurs paid for Parker during all this years and what he has given to the spurs gives an excellent investment for the spurs (one of their best).
- Nba is a business
So jumping on the GTFO Tony Parker wagon is not very very nice.
I do think as well he is talking . What are the real insights ?
I don't know
xap'
PS : Timvp, the video you picked is just "Classic" ! ing brilliant !

And to think the whole "raising the bar" idea started after somebody suggested a Parker trade.
I wonder who that mofo was...
Parker has been and always will be about himself... him
Does anyone have any details on TP's name coming up in recent trade talks? That's the first I've heard.
I'd rather him play for a team with a shot at winning something. So I'm all for it.
France is like the Pacers of international basketball.
A report came out that the Spurs offered Parker for Paul; Spurs denied it.
TP was rumored in an offer to Hornets for Paul, weeks ago. It supposedly got leaked, but whether it was true or not, I was wondering how Parker was going to feel about his name coming up. This is a hint that he might have taken it badly, especially since before that he was saying he wouldnt play for France this summer. I have to think something caused a change here.
