Go watch ing baseball or hockey where they do that loser "payback" . You're probably one of those people that thought David Robinson was soft because he didn't or start fights when he got fouled.

Ginobili got his two free throws and the ball, and his team got the win. What good does escalating it do? The Spurs aren't thinking about the Nuggets, they are thinking three rounds past the Nuggets, so what good is it getting someone hurt by brawling with an inferior team? Once again, physical doesn't mean dirty, and being tough means maintaining your composure. If you are bothered that a team doesn't respond to everything then you should watch the Pacers or the Nuggets. Maybe the Devil Rays would be more your style.
sigh. i never said anything about fighting or getting into a brawl. i dont consider sticking up vocally for a teammate that just got clobbered thuggish. i didnt ask for a punch to be thrown, but sometimes someone has to step up and be vocal about such plays. once again, since you cant seem to read or comprehend, sticking up for someone does NOT equal a fist fight!

Bandit I see what you're saying, but I don't really see what good that does. If you step up and start talking, you're admitting that it may have affected your team. In doing that, I think you end up giving Denver some slight advantage in thinking that excessively-physical play might distract the Spurs -- might get them thinking more about responding than about playing the game.

The retributive side of me says that something should have been done, but the practical side appreciates the Spurs' poise. I think

Did it bother anyone else that no one on the Spurs came to Manu's defense? The guy got clobbered, and no one even got in the face or shoved a Denver player. That kind of softness really angers me, since Manu was the only reason we won and the only one on the team that brings his nuts to every single game...If 3 Spurs had clobbered Anthony like that, you can bet at least Kenyon would have gotten up in someone. Show some backbone for your fellow player dammit!!

Nice take first of all Bandit, I heard a similar question tonight on News 4's sports email segment. Was this you, or a biter from in here??

    In response to your question quoted above;

I believe that we're too smart of a team overall to respond to that frustrated response to being beaten Denver displayed. In other words, it just shows the Spurs got to them.

So to deal with it, the only way idiots do; Denver ed, cried and committed a blatant frustration filled flagrant foul on our Latino MJ, Mr Manu Ginobili; a hoop god in the making.

For those who believe this le is too bold of a statment when referring to Ginobili; name me five players that affect the game on both end's of the court as/more effectively.

The playoffs are win or go home and any reason to get the ref's against us on the road is ridiculous.

Now, don't get me wrong; Personally, I would have loved for Bruce to throw a right cross to carmella's(name doesnt deserve caps) neck bone to back Manu up. But that's thinking like Denver and responding to stupidity.

Now, Personally, when I see that I am getting to someone on the court and frustrating them, it's entertainingly funny to watch someone complain and about their impending demise which isn't in their hands, as they had initially believed. Same goes for Denver. The Spurs knew at that point the game was over and by retaliating, it may have risked allowing Denver back in the game. We couldn't have that.

At the time...I wanted blood...heat of the moment though. I would have liked someone to have said something but not take anyone out. The ultimate revenge, however, will be a series victory.

Yeah, okay dip . Here's what you actually said:

The guy got clobbered, and no one even got in the face or shoved a Denver player.
    Shoving equals fighting.

Now which one of us can't read or comprehend?

Living well is the best revenge. The Spurs are looking to win a championship. The Nuggets are a speed bump on that road. Getting into a staredown or a shouting match with them is beneath the Spurs.

Sorry i disagree 100%. Beneath the spurs? We arnt the pope and i hope this team doenst look at the nuggets as a speed bump. You take a team lightly and your going to get upset. Manu is the heart and soul of this team. In game 3 duncan and parker didnt feel like playing and manu put us on his back and neary gets his face broken. Somebody shouldve stuck up for him. I sure as would have

Taking a team lightly is a completely different issue from allowing an inferior team to force you into a fight, which is the only way they can win a seven game series against the Spurs. If Duncan and Parker don't feel like playing then someone needs to light their asses up. If an NBA team doesn't prepare for its opponent, they deserve to lose, but the Spurs should absolutely not allow this series to degenerate into a soccer fan riot.

you're going way overboard...no one is advocating starting a riot or a huge brawl, but rather to just get up in someones face, give a chest bump, let them know that they cant just knock the out of one of our players and get a free pass. both teams know how much is at stake and wouldnt start fighting, but the intensity level of both teams would definitly go up(which is what the spurs seem to be lacking except for Manu), and i'll still take a juiced spurs team over a juiced nuggets team anyday

That is why Melo will NEVER be a champion in this league. He wanted to be an All-Star? All-Stars don't pull that cheap bull . He just needs to shut his Juwanna Mann lookin', ass up.

Not sure I totally see the resemblance, but funny nonetheless.

I've noticed Manu would walk a way from a confrontation even with Boykins. But nobody can question his courage. Similar w/the rest of the Spurs.
