As the current slackness insinuates, a 1st-round exit seems an inevitable fate for the Spurs no matter whom they take on. At least losing to Lakers won't need them to concoct any excuse.

Finish in 8th place? , we are not even gonna be in the playoffs. At this point it is time to do the 0-30 thing or however many games are left. We ain't going to go anywhere no matter what so it is time to just rest the broken down guys like our Big 3 and look at a good draft position to either use or trade for someone who can help. In the meantime Pop needs to study other coaches because it is painfully obvious he is clueless this year as to what to do. And RC is overrated....PERIOD!!!

I doubt Pop wants to get destroyed by his archrival in the first round. It would do permanent damage to his legacy. It would be referenced like the way Hakeem destroyed 5-0 in the playoffs. I can't see Pop looking forward to that. However he does have a secret weapon to beat the Lakers. No one has probably heard of it yet...it's called smallball!

I like our chances against Denver in the first round... I don't know, they're a team that look insanely good one night and then they have trouble showing up against the lesser teams.
So being one of the lesser teams for a seven game series is their ticket to the finals, baby.
Basically...
If Parker rests and is close to 100% come playoff time The Spurs can beat anybody. We've been missing TP all season.
