Im thinking this goes 7. Split in the next 2 games. mavs win 5, spurs win 6,
crowd will be absolutely insane game 3 on friday in san antonio. especially with the late tipoff. going to be hard for the refs not to give us some home cookin.
Agreed, tbh.
It also sucks that JET's 1 great game he was gonna have this series was canceled out by Dirk playing like he had a hangover and ing Jefferson of all people going off.

I said this in the game thread and want to know Mavs fans pov. It seems like Haywood SHOULD be able to defend Duncan, and actually forces him into tough shots. The only thing being, Duncan takes tough shots against Haywood and makes all of them, while he takes easier shots against Dampier and misses more.
For some reason there is some inverse relationship where being guarded by Haywood actually makes him a better basketball player than he is against Dampier, with no attribution to the actual defense played by either of them.
Maybe he just sees that goofy ass face and it kicks him into another gear, I don't know.
Spurs can't win a Gm 7 in DAL. If they want this series, they're gonna hafta take it in 6.
Dampier generally is better at preventing Duncan from setting up closer to the basket in the low post than he would like. He's also much more physical and has played I don't know, 50-some odd games against the Spurs since joining the Mavs in 2005. I think he knows Duncan's tricks and tendencies pretty well, whereas Haywood has only been seeing him twice a year.
The Spurs can most definitely win a G7 in Dallas.
I would have been a little surprised had Dallas won the first two games, simply because these teams are so evenly matched. I don't think this is going to be the last time a road team wins in this series.
Let's home you are proven right in an even-numbered game and not an odd one.
Nope.
(I don't really know how else to argue the point other than the "I'm right/you're wrong" classic go-to move)
Then again, I was SURE the Spurs would get blown out in Gm 2. Dallas' flat play coming out surprised the outta me.
