BS. Kobe and the Lakers themselves have never made an issue of his injuries. It's everyone else that talks about it. Please dude. Find me these rampant quotes of this organization talking endlessly about it. He's dismissed it every time it's been asked. Man you really have this twisted.
Kobe is as injured as dozens of other players at this point of the season. And yet, when he's going through bad stretches, all we hear is about his "injuries". It's been like that for years, but now that' he's declining and that bad stretches are larger and more frequent, it's become almost non-stop. It's beyond pathetic. If you don't want to blame the Lakers, then blame the press & the Lakers fans.

    James’ elbow passes practice test
    By Tom Withers

Cavaliers star LeBron James says a few day’s rest and treatment has helped his injured right elbow.

James, who has been bothered by a sprain and bone bruise, made it through practice Thursday without feeling any pain. He participated in all contact drills.

James said doctors have told him the injury will likely bother him throughout the postseason and it will only fully heal with rest in the off-season. James said he has only had one MRI on his elbow and that a second planned one is not needed - right now.

The two-time NBA MVP said he needs to be more aggressive in Game 3 of Cleveland’s series with Boston on Friday.

The Cavs and Celtics are tied 1-1 in the best-of-seven series.

    Sounds like he's fine.

Will the story change if the Cavs win or lose tomorrow?

It's just like Kobe's finger, ankles and whatever. Pussified drama queens. Preventive excuses for the case things don't go their way.

Garnett is questionable for game 3 and is playing with a foot strain + Perkins is injured + Pierce is playing through multiple injuries but I'm happy that they and the Celtics organization basically don't mention that stuff at all.
And yet KG sitting out practice yesterday to nurse his foot was one of the top headlines on CBSSports.com. When KG came back this year with the knee thing it was all the commentators talked about during their national games for weeks.

Celtics get plenty of attention for their injuries.

I can't understand why it is difficult for people to see that a SG playing with a maxi-pad on his dominant hand's pointer finger would affect his shot and handle in a significant way. Age is part of his decline of course but it's hard to ignore the problem with his finger. He doesn't really bring it up but of course gets asked about it all the time. I'm not saying he isn't glad it's being brought up -- like anyone, he's probably glad that it's out there he's having to battle through adversity or whatever. I just think you have beef with the press, not really something he can control.

His elbow status all depends on if they win or lose the game. I know, new news lol
Wouldn't any expect a player with a significant injury on his shooting elbow to have trouble with that?

We don't have access to all the information and injuries are funny... they can feel great one day and then get worse again (especially when they get banged in all the NBA contact).

Why is anyone surprised the Cavs are choking.
The series is tied 1-1. How is that choking? The Cavs weren't expected to sweep Boston.

OMFG THE LAKERS CHOKED IN TEH 1ST ROUND!!! THEY LOST TWO GAMES!! LOL CHOKERS!!

He's shooting above 50% in this series. Has the injury healed? Is he healthy now?

Cavs weren't expected to sweep the Celtics, but they weren't supposed to lose the 2nd home game either.

On top of that, Celtics have basically won 6 of 8 quarters.

Cavs are lucky they aren't down 2-0.

If the Cavs go down 1-2, would that be choking?

what's funny is that Laker fans HAVE been saying this..

“Stupid. They’re stupid,” Bryant told Yahoo! Sports. “It’s an injury. They don’t know me very well. They think I’m done. I just hear it. I just hear it. I find it amusing. It’s entertaining

    Is this not an excuse?..
