British invented Football and Rugby Football. THey choose to call RF "Rugby" to not confuse anyone. The US choose to call it Football because the rules were different and they were using more their foot.

I don't have a problem with it being called Football, just seems a bit strange to me.

Anyway back on topic, the FA will be announcing the final squad shortly, Can't wait for this to start

Why didn't any nordic country get in? Sweden usually has a good team.

OK, I'm convinced. Mexico will qualify first, France and Uruguay will battle for the second place.

Please, explain why they can't beat you?

It looks like you're predicting based on the past... Did you even see todays game?

It wouldn't surprise me if both Uruguay and Mexico advance. France has basically Ribery and a Henry getting up there in age.

This is not Zidane's team anymore

lol Concacaf hopeful... did you see Uruguay's roster compared to mexico's?

    Forlan>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Vela
    Suarez >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Giovanni
the only player that could be better than a Uruguayan player on its position is Rafa Marquez

and BTW Italy always does this ... you think they'll risk anything or to be left out of the cup because of injury playing versus Mexico?

Zidane's performances with the french team are overrated imo.

1998, he didn't have a good WC until the final
2006, he was only good against Brazil and Italy. Viera carried the team.

France was successful thanks to its defense. That's why i'm worried this year, the D is not there.

I agree about the defense, but having a player like Zidane in the pitch helps. He was the kind of player that required attention, be it a man or two from the other team always checking him, and that always free up other guys. He also was exceptionally talented, and even when he didn't have the greatest game, he could always make a great pass or hit a free throw and change a game in a moment's notice. That's a trait reserved to the truly great players.

I also agree that Viera was exceptional in 2006.

Why are you looking at the roster? You didn't just do the player > < comparison on a team game did you?

Just because individually some of the Uruguayan players can be better than Mexico's doesn't mean they are the better team. Notice the some...

This is the best team Mexican team I've seen since I've been alive... now I know that's not saying much, but underrating them isn't wise...

    You'll see what I mean

Sense Sense Sense... you're bound to have a very bad time in June & July...

and Yeah you're right... I'll see what you mean on the 22nd...
