To be a billionaire in Russia you definitely have to do something right.

i like the dude...the nets were going nowhere...now this guy comes in, builds them a new arena and promises the world to them....and has the money to back it up.

Whats not to like?

Prokhorov is certainly not shy. In his short address, he claims the team will win a championship within five years, says that the franchise will be the envy of everyone else in the league, and posits the Nets as the first truly global NBA franchise. In other words, they will see the league's fastest turnaround and almost instantly become the NBA's marquee organization.

I'm a Nets fan so I am up on his nuts all the way, but for good reasons, I'm not one of the ones who thinks money will buy talent. I mean look at Mavs for example they have talent yet they still aren't winning it all. I'm liking Prokhorov because from everything I hear he will let people do the work and spend unlike how Ratner was, and if we have Rod Thorn who has done some good deals and he can spend I see good things happening, now if Prokhorov turns into Ratner and doesn't let nets spend I'd complain, but from things I read he will let them spend
