I just find it and then hit record. done
Seriously someone needs to explain this to me because either this thing is ing re ed or I am (certainly possible).
It used to be that say I was watching Seinfeld on channel 11, and I pressed the info button and then the right button so see what was coming on next I could see what was coming on at 6:30, and 7:00 and so on and so forth. If I saw s Kitchen was coming on at 7:00 I'd simply press record, and then A to accept that recording and then at 7:00 it would record s Kitchen.
Now when I do the same thing it records what's currently on. The only way I've been able to find to record things in the future is to search for the show, which is obviously a lot more time consuming and bersome than the previous method.
What am I missing here?

Yeah, you have to find it using the Guide button and picking it from the grid.
I used this thing this weekend and what the flying . Its horrrrrrrrrrrrrrible. My mother hated it too. She's pissed they just changed it on her.
It looks nicer, but the functionality sucks.
Page up/down fast and the show les disappear. Highest level of fwd/rew is 3. When you stop fast forwarding, it skips back several seconds. Some buttons on my remote no longer work, for example "Video Source" doesn't do jack squat any more.
Why did they do this? It's not like anyone even had a choice. You just turned on the tube one day and it was all changed.

Just a update, Out of my 2 cable boxes one of them is doing allot better than the other, For starters I can now rwd/fwd @ 4x
Also the box that also has 4x speed has a new option. If I hit setting on the remote and scroll right to "display" there is a new option called "DVR Compensation" it's set to normal, I set it to "none" and now when I rwd/fwd it stop right where I press play at.yea no more annoying stopping a bit before or after like my other dvr does.
Just a heads up. I hated the pressing play and it started in a commercial still.
