You aren't joking. I thought it was Alston!
I think it's because it's hard to hit a moving target of changing tastes and then you also won't please everyone anyway.
That still doesn't quite explain how the Thunder failed so miserably... but I can see where trying to design great jerseys would be harder than it seems at first blush.
You aren't joking. I thought it was Alston!
also, the HEAT haven't really changed their jersey much
this is the old school 90's one

That's why I'm impressed with the Celtics' jersey... look how little it's changed through the years.
And, of course, the greatest Celtic we have, bless him...
the reason it's changed so little is because the Celtics started off their history with a huge dynasty run that produced many les.
so just the sight of a celtic jersey, reminds everyone of a very old historic championship franchise.
while other teams aren't as legendary or storied as the celtics, so have to try to create a spark with fans.
or it could just be that owners ed up.![]()
Those Buffalo Braves jerseys are nice... And I dig the Lakers jerseys today as well. Love that purple/blue color.
It's only blue on TV. Every time I have watched the Lakers in person since the mid 80s, the jerseys have been purple. I like the old school Lakers jerseys much better. I don't like the numbers or the WNBA cut on the new ones. Plus the logo on the front doesn't stand out as much as it did on the old jerseys when it was struck in white. These were awesome in the 70s:

Man, Wilkins wearing that jersey = great

Speaking of uniforms...
How many one-off uniforms can you think of?
The first one that comes to mind was the "Hefty bag" road alternates that Dallas wore for one game in (I think) the 03-04 season. Early game in LA, I remember that game because LA won and Cuban retired that jersey permanently... not sure if that was because it was ugly (it was) or because they figured they were bad luck. Which also invites the question: why debut an alt jersey on the road in the first place, especially against a powerhouse LA team? You're just asking for a loss and supers ious fans to then associate that loss with the jersey.
Anyone have a pic of those unis?
Another one-off failure was the Lakers wearing the throwback short-shorts in 2008 against the Celtics. Same thing applies, they got beaten badly so we never saw the short shorts again. If they would've beaten the C's badly, who knows if we would've seen them again.
I'll co-sign every bit of that. That's a great jersey. Why they got away from that classic look I don't know.
IIRC, the players were so uncomfortable wearing them that they all changed at halftime to normal sized shorts.
had this hill jersey in middle school always liked it
bobcats green and gray alternates are nice
i like okc's too and of course
one of the ugliest im0-

I love the classic jerseys that rarely change with franchises
-Lake show
-Celtics
-Spurs
-Heat (minimal difference as well)
-Bulls
-Blazers
No gimmicks with these franchises.
The old Sonics jerseys are my all time favorite.
Me don't like
If only they hadnt ed up the jerseys the players wore in the game, maybe they wouldve stuck with them. Didnt they forget to offset the front number for the players?
