ps: I see GoN took the advice of his Fantasy Football magazines and took Antonio Gates, good for you GoN...
In my defense, I bought only one magazine, and it was solely to prevent me from dragging my laptop into the, uh, reading room.

TE's are pretty much a crap shoot after the top 2 (if not 1). I'll take Gates and his sick (albeit a small sample) YPCatch.

Now, go draft Lee Evans and Michael Jenkins. You know you will.

Oh yeah, DO NOT draft Antonio Bryant, no matter the temptation.

Here's the team Yahoo picked for me because I missed the draft of my Winner's League:

    A. Brooks
    T. Holt
    E. Moulds
    D. Jackson
    C. Potris
    R. Johnson
    R. McMichael
    T. Duckett
    D. Bennett
    B. Lloyd (dropped for R. Woods)
    J. McCown

    J Elam
    P Edinger

    Tampa Bay
    Minnesota

You guys couldn't even beat my auto-draft team!
Finally, Scott escapes the clutch of Pooh-envy.

Hey schott, you should have sold pictures of you wearing the fake championship rings so that you could have gotten enough money to play fantasy football.

There are some generous people in San Antonio.

Money is not the problem- time is amigo.

And you know there is nothing fake about those rings, pal. Don't hate the bling.

Scott, you are more of a than I originally thought.

    Congratulations.

Your at ude is one of the main reason I didn't enjoy fantasy football last season (even though I won the Championship in one league).

Again, I'm glad you aren't playing.

Last season you played in TWO of our leagues. One of them you got destroyed every week. Don't forget that and just remember your "glory" days.

Edge should have a good year as he jockies for a huge contract, but he isn't the back he looked like he was going to turn into a few years ago before the injury.

Since Edge is your best player, I'm assuming you picked towards the end of the first round?
He's predicted a top 8 pick in practically every fantasy football mock draft in the country. And I picked 7th.

Rudi had a great season last year- but there are some questions with him... will he have to split time with Chris Perry? If Carson Palmer isn't all he's cut out to be, will opposing teams start stacking the box on Rudi? Not a bad second back though.
He was by far the best RB left on the board when I picked.

The rest of your RBs are pretty terrible.
Charlie and Eddie as 3rd/4th RB's in a 2 RB league is pretty solid.

    WRs:

    Chris Chambers
    Justin McCareins
    Koren Robinson
    Donald Driver
    Terry Glenn

Chambers should have a good year with Boston out and the Dolphins most likely going pass happy.
Wow, you were smart enough to know that.

If Driver comes back strong (not anticipated) you should be in decent shape with McCareins feeding off Santana Moss' scraps.
Look for Moss to go down by midseason.

    QBs:

Well, Delhomme certainly isn't a fantasy guy, and McCown is pretty unproven- especially with one of the top WRs in the league and presumably his top target out for half of the year.
Like I said, I intentionally picked QB's late. I like McCown and he'll put up good numbers at the end of the season.

You've probably got the best WR group of any of the ones already posted, but I think your RB group could be trouble. Unless O. Smith gets traded, I don't see him putting up numbers of any significance. The best case scenario is that Bennett gets hurt and Onterrio gets to split time with Moe Williams. Anthony Thomas could get back into the lineup if Thomas Jones gets hurt or doesn't perform- but I think T. Jones could have a nice year.

You've got the second best TE in fantasy (subject to Shockey and Winslow debate), and Bulger is a top tier fantasy QB.

Are you a KC fan or have a generally inclination they will turn that defense around? They are pretty much the same unit- but maybe a new coordinator is all it took.

Ask Scott his opinion of RB's. He's the expert who IM'd me during last year's draft making fun of Kris for picking J. Lewis.

You are either confusing me with someone else or you are fond of making stuff up. Since I don't pin you for the latter, I'll just leave you alone.

    Scott, don't deny it.

You, GoN and others were destroying Kris for picking Lewis. Then you IM'd me asking me to help Kris out with his draft because you thought it was so bad.

But either way, it doesn't matter.

    I'm just joking.

Like you said, I'm sorry you can't take a joke. :wink

I remember asking you to help Kris, and I remember you agreeing that he needed it. Pin me in whatever group you wish, however.

I noticed one of my posts got deleted- was that a joke too?

I was looking at points of the league and think KC can improve it from a middle-of-the-road performance based on our points system.

Did I? I recall raising my eyebrows and maybe running a little smack. FWIW, I thought your Torry Holt 2nd round pick was worse.

    "Destroying?" Huh?

By the way JohnnyBlaze, Stephen Davis at 1.8 was ..... nevermind.

Yeah you thought it was funny until I beat you in week one.

Like I said, Holt is my favorite player in the league. I will pick him in the second round every time I have the chance. I play fantasy football for fun, not to try to flex my muscles and put other people down.

The game is a lot of luck and many trades, injuries, etc happen throughout the long season. That's why I don't believe in smack talking people on draft night to the point where they don't want to play -- that's what happened last season. I want people to play and stick with it all year. I want there to be trades and compe ion. But when people get discourage from day one, that doesn't happen.

No doubt luck is a HUGE factor. Just ask scoot.

    But come on! No Smack?

I didn't say NO smack... some smack isn't that bad. Just don't kill people (especially new people) to the point where they don't want to play.

Stephen Davis will consistently score 1-2 touchdowns a game and near 100 yards.

Jamal Lewis could go to jail or suffer consequences early in the season.
