can't blame the refs on this one..... sure it was a horribly officiated game .... but we still had free throws in our favor. We lost an entire game in 3 minutes.

If you would have told me that KG and Pierce goes 4-16 and Bynum has 21 and seven blocks before the game, I tell you, we win by 20.

Bryant clearly fouled Rondo on that drive late and got away with it. On top of that, the Lakers shot significantly more free throws and yet a Lakers fan has the audacity to complain about the officiating because they got that late call that was looked at on replay wrong?

This doesn't even come close to making up for the umpteen times when this team has benefited from blatantly biased officiating. For once, a (relatively) big call went against them. Maybe next time you ignoramuses will think twice before pulling the "you have no credibility when you bring up officiating" card.

Overall in this series the officiating has been poor. They're calling it way too tight and it's hurting the more physical Celtics more than it is the Lakers. The entire Celtics front line was in foul trouble in this game.

I call it like I see it ...... you're up 90-87 and you need stops. Maybe two or three spots to win a game and you can't get them.

I watched Pau get a block on Perkins and instead of grabbing the ball, he taps it out to Rondo.

I saw Rondo get a rebound that landed between four Lakers.

That can't happen. You get a great game from a dude with a torn meniscus and still can't close. Odom was brutal yet again.

Yup, Lakers were pure crap on the offensive end tonight and deserved to lose.

Psychologically I don't know where the team will be after this game. The series can definitely go one of two ways. The Lakers can mentally collapse and lose in 5, or they can nut up and storm back and win Game 3. They win Game 3 and we have ourselves a series again.

My gut tells me the Lakers will win one game in Boston. This is going 7 games.

I am surprised the mauling of Perkins by Gasol with a minute and a half left was not even talked about by the commentators. They showed the replay and were fixated on how it was good fouling a poor free throw shooter, not that Gasol attacked Perkins. Piss poor officiating

Hey Laker fans stop making the dumb personal foul differential argument. Here is why, it is all about the team that gets the fouls in the 4th quarter. So what if you get 30+ FT in the first 3 quarters; I'd put my money on the Lakers winning the foul differential in the 4th.

It's a legitimate concern when other inferior teams who the Lakers proved they are better than get 99 more free throws than the Lakers get while the Lakers were #1 in points in the paint among all playoff teams.
Perkins and Williams were getting hammered in the paint directly under the basket.. GTFO

It was important that the Lakers win all the home games .... because this is what you have now. Bynum playing 39 minutes and now have to fly across country. Not good for that knee.

Boston backcourt > Lakers backcourt ....... plain and simple

The only positives are that we held KG and Pierce to really awful numbers in both games. If you can just keep Ray to his averages the Lakers should be OK.

that's the thing. They played like crap. KG did have that late bucket and those two throws but was in foul trouble for most of the game.

Rondo just ass reamed our squad. No excuses. Has Kobe ever had a triple double in the finals????

It doesn't work like that. It's called law of averages. Allen will inevitably come back down to earth and when he does, Pierce and Garnett will pick it up. Though in Garnett's case, he looks so dead-legged that I'm not sure he can be counted on for more than 1-2 good games in this series.

How about the big baby block? That was a clean block.

The Lakers best player tonight was Gasol, don't slob Kobe's knob tonight.
Of course Gasol was the best tonight. When you can't get in rhythm due to foul trouble you can't be expected to play well.

Truthfully, I think it's more than likely that KG continues to play like crap. On the other hand, Bynum's not going to play any better but Pierce definitely will.

If Odom doesn't pick it up, the Lake Show may be in trouble.

Gasol will keep owning KG the rest of this series. KG is a s of his former self. Bynum is also getting the better of Perkins. The Lakers will win the war in the trenches this time and that bodes well for them.

, the way Big Baby beasted tonight, I wouldn't mind having KG out there.

He played extremely well. Definitely outplayed O'Dumb.

Umm yeah no, this is what you guys deserve, thanks to Kobe and others this is now a perimeter orientated league.

Players like Duncan who get pounded in the paint are just expected to take it because that is how refs call it now, you should be fortunate that you have a player like Kobe where even if the defender stares at him wrong, the ref calls a foul

Problem is Baby is not the answer. He's undersized and has no lift. The Lakers bigs will prevail in the end.

The refs are having way too much say so in this finals, they should just let them play.

pretty much, so far out front court has really dominated. Sheed has had a few timely baskets, but for the most part, they've done great.

Tonight, their guards just killed ours. That can't happen. Basically Ray outscored Kobe and Fish. Similar to Pau out-rebounding the C's front line in game 1.
