He and Pop were instrumental in rejecting Luis Scola...
Pop did not want to trade Scola to Houston. That is all on RC.

    By Adrian Wojnarowski,

Nets ownership will try to move quickly on a replacement, and sources say potential targets will include Oklahoma City GM Sam Presti, New Orleans GM Jeff Bower and San Antonio Spurs GM R.C. Buford. Nets assistant GM Bobby Marks, who has drawn interest in the Portland Trail Blazers’ search, is a strong candidate, too.

The Nets new owner has a lot of money, sure. But would someone like RC (a measured professional who is a pretty decent guy, from all accounts) want to have his boss undercutting him all the time a la Cuban?

Rod Thorn was being asked to take a pay cut per the AW article in Yahoo. He decided he was too old to put up with the former commie he has to report to now.

Avery Johnson must have really wanted to get back into coaching to work for Markie Cuban 2.0, who might be an even bigger putz than Markie 1.0.

I don't even know this Russian guys name, but I saw a "60 Minutes" piece on him recently and he likes going to the American capitalist discos and hooking up with the young (and I emphasize young) ladies. Seems like he might be too much of a loose cannon. In addition, he has already stated that his measure of success for the Nets is a LOB trophy must be taken back to the slums of Brooklyn within five years.

Former Cavaliers general manager Danny Ferry has emerged as one of the first front-office targets of the Trail Blazers after they abruptly fired Kevin Pritchard on draft night, according to sources with knowledge of Portland's thinking.

With no hope of successfully prying San Antonio's R.C. Buford or Oklahoma City's Sam Presti away from their respective clubs, Portland has Ferry high on its list of potential replacements for Pritchard, mere weeks after Ferry parted ways with the Cavaliers, sources told ESPN.com.

Have you read any of this thread? Where does it say RC is even interested in interviewing for the job?

Yeah I saw that. I was basically saying what is the point of even asking because to me it's a waste of time since RC has said he is not interested in the job at all, unless you're saying we should let him go and get one of those other guys because they would be better than RC?
