Luol Deng is a good player, but they already have Caron Butler. I don't think that Dallas will get a big time free agent this off season, maybe just a few role players.

Looking that way....Cuban needs to forget about the big names Lebron, Wade, etc. Get what best 2nd tier players you can and hope Dirk re-signs. Get Shaq to sign and try and get a solid shooter like Ray Allen to join for cheap

If Lebron is really going to the Bulls with Bosch. Maybe Dirk can join Joe Johnson and go to Miami with Wade.

Of course you, not being a Mavs fan, would want that.

and shut the up about Shaq.

no prob, anytime. I was not saying Dirk will get hurt or anything just thinking the way I think about people older in age I know if real life that do different sports, since as you get older got to watch out for those things.

You might as well change your sig and pics my Persian friend. Mavs ain't getting LBJ or any big name player.

Shaq is a strong possibility for the MLE unless he decides to tag along with James in Chicago.

Things are NOT looking good as usual for the Mavs....guess most people care about the Cowboys any how...maybe they will do something this year. Rangers looking right now so let's focus on that....

Ok, you say Dirk has only missed 9 games in his entire career, that's good for him. but he is getting up there is age so that could change at anytime, not saying it will, but something to look out for.
    1) Really my point here was that his game doesn't rely on athleticism, which makes his style more durable as he gets older. Why does his age matter if he's still capable of doing all the things he's done throughout his career? Most players decline as they get older because their declining athleticism begins to restrict their abilities. There's not one thing that Dirk won't be able to do next year that he did last year. As long as Dirk stays healthy, I don't see a problem for him.

    2) Also, someone mentioned ankle problems.... someone who obviously hasn't kept up with Dirk's career. Dirk's not a high flyer, a slasher, or someone whose going to dunk it over the top centers in the league. Because of his style of play, he's rarely exposed to injury -- that includes ankle injuries. There are 25 yr old players who have had more problems with their ankles than Dirk.

    3) Someone mentioned that Dallas wasn't getting a star, maybe a couple solid rotation players...... I have a question. Would Dallas turn down Luol Deng (a wing that averages 18 ppg and 7 rbp) without knowing (or having in depth insight of) their other available options? Some people don't understand how valuable Eric Dampier's contract is in the status quo of the NBA (mostly spurs fans in denial). Dallas is just sitting back and hearing out all their offers right now.
