Prediction? They all die in a boat accident or are stung by deadly jelly fish.
Does anyone else wonder what Michael Beasley is thinking![]()
Prediction? They all die in a boat accident or are stung by deadly jelly fish.
Dude has been strung out on blow for days. He has no idea what is going.
I think Boston will win...but I'm hoping The Heat...It would be nice though to settle this Boston - LA thing once and for all....
None of them are ballhogs, they all have a history of sharing the ball with their teammates, sometimes to their detriment.
It's not like what would have happened if Kobe/Stackhouse/Iverson teamed up in 2000.
Probably the same thing as Josh Howard and Leetonidas "I'm high as !"
It's not all about shooting %. When are you stat s ever going to realize this? Kobe brought the winning at ude. When it came to crunch time who defered to who? Ask all the players what was the one thing they came away with from 2008 and it's... Kobe's work ethic. They learned how to be winners. Miami is going to be tough no doubt but they have a lot if work to do to be favorites. I like my teams chances a lot better.
"Does this mean I don't have to play a lot?"
It'll be interesting to see if Miami holds onto Beasley. He'd be a beast 6th man if he put any kind of effort into basketball, but at the same time they can trade him to a rebuilding team that has veteran contributors they can give. I imagine they keep Chalmers since he can space the floor, play D and he knows his role.
74 wins, easily win the le.
And in regards to the question, "Who will have the ball in crunch-time?" . . .
LOL. What crunch-time? Nobody's going to be within striking distance in the last few minutes of a game. FTA alone will make sure that they're untouchable.
Who do you think they are? The 2009 Lakers?
The prototype for this team is the 2004 Lakers. When healthy, that team was rolling. With Malone in the lineup, the team went 34-9... that equates to a 65-win team over a full season.
Of course, Mailman got hurt and missed half the season Dec-March. Team went 22-17 in the games he missed.
Same thing happened in the playoffs. Lakers 13-5 and into the Finals with a healthy Malone... but he re-injures his knee in Game 6 in the WCFs and is never the same afterward... LA of course then loses 4-1 in the Finals.
Chemistry is a funny thing. It doesn't seem like a 40-year-old Mailman should've made that much difference... team still had Kobe and Shaq (and Payton for what that was worth). But without Malone that team was lost all year long.
Who knows what would happen to this team if a similar injury hit? Of course guys in their mid-to-late 20s are built a little sturdier than 40-year-old dudes...
That said, I'll use the 2004 Lakers with Malone as the projection model and go with 65 wins and the favorite to win it all. If I were a betting man, they'd be my pick for the le. But LA will have something to say about that in the end.
lol at everyone saying second round exit
I've always thought that D Wade's style of play would make him play less years than he would be able to otherwise. He could be that Karl Malone type guy who gets injured late.
Its hard to get significantly hurt when your team isn't really a contender and isn't truly trying to win a championship. When a team like this develops though, Wade will go harder and others will go harder at him...he could get hurt like he did in 07.
They better go 82-0 and sweep the playoffs in "Fo, Fo, Fo, and Fo" (as Moses Malone used to say!)...or they will be disappointment.
Miami Heat going be a whistle fest.
I'd say he's still decent tbh.
