Yes, because Bonner's contributions last year certainly warranted a 15 million dollar extension.
Especially those clutch shots in the playoffs.
Pop told RC to give him the Malik Rose.

I'm guessing it's true, considering there are quotes from Bonner in the article.

Glad it got done. Bonner brings some fouls on defense against the opposing power forwards and will be a nice spot shooter from the corner for the TD and Splitter outlets...
He's a team player, and it means one less guy learning the system next year.
Many here will change their tune when he hits some clutch 3's in the playoffs this year.
Bonner doesn't deserve the veterans minimum.
maybe we can hire artest's psychiatrist for this mental midget....
I needed a good laugh. Thanks.
Heat get James, Wade and Bosh and the Spurs get Bonner back. Out ingstanding.
Exactly. He plays the role Danny Ferry played for us back in those championship days. As long as we don't have to rely on him as a starter, we're ok cuz he's a decent role player.
When, pray tell, has he given you ANY reason to believe he's actually capable of hitting a 1st quarter perimeter shot, much less a clutch one, in the post-season?
Bonner was playing really good in the two weeks before his broke his hand last year. He was actually rebounding and was playing good team defense.
Bonner had some moments toward the end of the regular season also.
If he can just learn how to not choke during the playoffs, he will be a useful piece. Its not like he is breaking the bank and you could do a lot worse.
lol @ noobs... he's only been around for 3 seasons...
Well at least he might find the Hoagie Grail
Ill take my chances with Bonner shooting 3's rather than RJM...He is ok in my book...maybe not worthy of an 4 yr deal with more money but Im ok with bringing him back.
Amazing summer, so far. Isn't it.
Last summer, the Spurs went "bold" and struck first in free agency, by way of the RJ trade.
How the Bonner is the Spurs first free-agent, offseason move of the summer, is beyond me?
When you put it that ways it looks pretty bad...
4 year contract extension? What a kick in the teeth.
Not that there was any real credence to it to begin with, but this makes all the Shaq stuff moot.
If this is true, trade the big 3 and move the team to Vegas...no reason to even open the ATT center after this.
The summer of Bonner!! welcome back
