I'm really hoping I don't open up a can of worms with this, but.... this serves as evidence that perhaps NBA players should cary licensed concealed weapons, or if nothing else really amp up their security.

RIP Lorenzen. I'm terribly familiar with the after-effects of this kind of stuff, and I feel absolutely HORRIBLE for his kids.

Identifying a dead body as a possible family member must be so difficult

I can't imagine what you can go through in moments like this

sorry for those kiddos. on the other topic though

having known someone who left a kid behind and wife after killing himself I can understand how someone would call a person who takes his own life (suicide) a coward.

the guy i know was the biggest bully in 7-8 grade and i hated when he was around. he would knee us in the thigh and it would hurt so bad when i was young. for some guys the bullying went on into high school. I hated him. Then as a young adult this same bully takes the coward way out and kills himself and leaves his family behind when times got hard.

It's been ruled a homicide. Now don't you feel like a putz!

    Details on Lorenzen Wright's death

Sherra Robinson Wright -- Lorenzen Wright's ex-wife -- had her home visited in recent weeks by three unknown men who had guns tucked into their waistband

Some details are beginning to emerge regarding the death of former NBA player Lorenzen Wright.

The police have ruled Wright's death a homicide by gunshot, but they have yet to name any suspects in the case.

The paper reported that Sherra Robinson Wright -- Lorenzen Wright's ex-wife -- had her home visited in recent weeks by three unknown men who had guns tucked into their waistband. The men wanted to know if her ex-husband, 34-year-old Lorenzen Wright, was home visiting his six children. When Sherra Wright told them no, the three men drove away. After this occurred, Sherra Robinson Wright quickly told her divorce attorney, Gail Mathes, about the encounter.

The Commercial Appeal is also reporting that it is unknown whether the three gunmen who appeared at Sherra Wright's house had any involvement in Lorenzen Wright's death.

Rightfully so. You can say whatever you want about suicide but running a dead man's name through the mud is the move of a coward. Cowardly to the bone—especially when you're perpetuating factual inaccuracies of how he died.
