I think the gap will be closing soon
With man City throwing cash around like they've been doing, they will be awfully tough to beat.
You have to think that it's just a matter of time before Arsenal & Liverpool turn things around.
Lately In England the champion is always either ManU or Chelsea.

Liverpool is going downhill right now, and Arsenal has been kinda the same team (flashy, with great young talent but never a real threat for the big boys) for almost a decade now.
And Man City won't win anything untill they fire Mancini, he has the talent to put a better more dangerous team on the pitch but he prefers to throw Tevez (a guy that isn't even a center forward, he's more of a second forward) all alone up front and leave guys like Adebayor on the bench.
More like five years.
Just like Arsenal to waste the chance to get closer to Chelsea.
That defense was atrocious, almost as bad as Almunia.
to be honest i havent taken Arsenal seriously since 2005... love to watch them play .. and they bring alot to the table.. but just dont see them as seroius 'contenders'
Arsenal has basically turned into a glorified farm team. They churn out good young talent that eventually gets sold off.
You can't expect too much, since success in top flight leagues basically depends on your spending power. Arsenal spent a load of money on the stadium and haven't made a big signing in years.
Almunia sucks. Arsenal should get a decent goalkeeper, then they would be a serious contender. Right now they're just the Phoenix Suns of premiership.
Arsenal needs a top striker and a good GK to be elite.
Oh, they have one, unfortunately he spends at least as much time at the doctor's as he does on the pitch.
Arshavin is a good striker as well, Chamakh definitely has the potential to be one.
I agree about the GK, though. Almunia is decent but not great - and he has a tendency of screwing up a little too often. This position has been a problem since Lehmann started living in this fantasy world of his a couple of years ago. And I haven't seen anything from Fabianski or Mannone that indicates they could soon be ready to replace Almunia.
Man City 1 Chelsea 0
:-)
Damn what a strike by Alex to bury Arsenal
Chelsea's new name should be Daddy Gunners. Drogba's has violated Arsenal for like the past 4 years. Granted, the Gunners had some injury woes, but I doubt it would've mattered.
And that free kick by Alex was ridiculous, I'm surprised the ball didn't rip through the net.
Considering all the injuries, Arsenal didn't play bad. But Chelsea is just more efficient, and Drogba was having a field day once again ...![]()
Liverpool are inghow does this team get contender status before every season?
I think it's safe to say this championship is Chelsea's to lose.
2 things.
1) Chamakh is a soft diving , that was never a ing penalty
2) Wilshere the dirty prick.
1) Chamakh did go down easily, but there definitely was contact and I think it was enough to warrant a penalty (I wouldn't have screamed bloody murder if there hadn't been a whistle, though).
2) Horrible challenge by Wilshere. I don't think he wanted to harm Zigic, it was just a stupid and terribly mistimed challenge. He fully deserved the red card, of course (he admitted that much himself).
Apart from that, it was a very uninspired and unconvincing performance by Arsenal. I was kind of waiting for a late equalizer on a header after a corner or a free kick. Good thing they got the points, but it was one of the worst games I've seen them play in a while.
Yep. Lucky for the Gunners, Man U and Chelsea had a worse weekend.
At least Liverpool lost
lmao liverpool
Tevez in es and doesn't even care about futbol anymore
