I think several people have acknowledged that he was probably being a loud, obnoxious drunk. IMO, that's exactly why you get up and find security. What did she accomplish in her conformation? Nothing - rather she and her father escalated matter by assaulting him.

I have never seen anyone confront an obnoxious drunk person with the situation being easily resolved. Did she really think he was going to say "yes ma'am, I'm so sorry!" if he's really that disruptive?
I don't even care about the curse words, in my case it was that the guy was screaming himself hoarse nonstop cursing at players who had literally zero chance of hearing him. He was driving me deaf and I ed my fist at one point. Of course in hindsight I should have gotten someone, but that seemed like the move at the time. Ratting on someone etc.

Shut the up. It's not a "random theory". People always take the side of old people and women who run their mouth to younger men. It's not a "random theory", it's what happens all the time.
I know all about white knights. And they're often hilarious, especially when they're acting like you assume they're acting here and they get pummeled. But you have no idea how loud at all how he was yelling or even what the he was saying. Who knows what he was doing before the guy whipped the camera over to him? Lmao people speaking with certainty based on the 1/10th of the incident that's on tape.

Take the family to Barney if one foul mouth fan will set you off or influence the kids in bad ways. Adults go to these events. Alcohol is sold at these venues. I think it's pretty safe to say the old man and were the real villians in this caper.
Pretty much. Would you take your kids to a sports bar to watch a game? That's the atmosphere at sporting events. You're supposed to get nasty and try to intimidate the other team/player. It kills me when I see people here about the Spurs crowd being a bunch of pansies now and then in the next thread call the Denver/Dallas/Phoenix fans classless for chanting BULL when the refs make a bad call and screw their team over.

Point taken but then don't market sporting events as family friendly and state on the tickets that foul language is the norm and make the events PG-13. If this guy would have been confronted by a man the situtation would have been different. I haven't had any issues when I've asked a guy to watch his language. Maybe since it was an over weight female it made him think he had bigger balls than if a man asked him to shut up.

Heckling's a part of sports but you'll get kicked out for being an obnoxious cussing asshat. Major sports want to be family friendly since thats where a ton of $$$ lies.
+1 So much for taking my young son to a baseball game because of obnoxious young punks who think that using profanity makes them cool.

Tennis and Golf's rules are completely different fwiw. People are expected to be silent when a person is teeing off or serving otherwise they get escorted out.

There are definitely different standards, but it sounded like he was just running his mouth during stoppages; it didn't seem like Ms. Trailer Trash was disagreeing with his contention that he wasn't talking during points.

I cuss and heckle the other team when I watch sporting events but I dont cuss every minute. I try to also be considerate of other people who doesnt want to hear , , , , in every outburst.
Yes, they paid for their tickets too and we have freedom of speech but that doesnt make it right for you to have 5 " "s in a 10 word sentence.

Firstly, I refuse to believe it's impossible to enjoy a public sporting event without acting like an ass.

Secondly, I resent the at ude that everyone should just shut up and deal with the person(s) acting like an ass because, hey, it's a public sporting event and that behavior should just be expected/tolerated.

This isn't really related to the posted video, for the record, because everyone there was an idiot. But, if you're at a public event and the person behind you is being a loud, obnoxious, asshole, it really shouldn't be THAT difficult to politely ask them to stop. Nor should it be THAT difficult for them to stop acting like a loud, obnoxious, asshole.

People, in general, need to stop treating the outside world like their living room. drives me crazy.

hahaha that was intense...and I feel for the young fella', I saw myself in him, as I'm not sure I would have composed myself. In fact that woman, for being dumb, would have received a full swing to the face, resulting in her swallowing a few of her teeth.

And I agree with most of you: old people and women are stupid.

Disclaimer: that was an enormous generalization, don't take it so seriously.

Agree with what you have said in this thread. There needs to be some common ground, it isn't a one way street. Heckling is a part of sports and I have little problem with it if it doesn't get re ed like with the fat you described at the Cowboys game... drunk, annoying heads who cannot be heard by the players are ing morons.

But nonetheless, and old man deserved to be knocked out. And by saying that, I don't necessarily imply that the opposite is true. The young dude quite possibly deserved the slap too. People, in general, are stupid.

Glad to see there are some smart people in the world...

I don't know why I haven't changed my username to this yet, but as I say in about 38% of my posts these days, people are stupid. The vast majority of the world's population consists of very dumb people. And this drives me nuts because I think, for many of us as people, at least in this country, are well off enough and have the resources to NOT have an excuse to be so re ed. I mean I'm only 20, really just in the beginning of the time in my life where I truly think about things more in depth, yet such a high %-age of people don't know about . There are times, like now, where I believe no one truly thinks about things...just literally takes some time every now and then, sit or lay down, and do nothing but think. If more people did this, we wouldn't be so stupid (humans).

What I vaguely remember from the thread when this video first showed up was that it was it was a show kind of like America's Got Talent (only not in America obviously). The two guys did some dance number which didn't go over well. The woman was a judge who was supposed to be y like Simon Cowell. So her telling them to off was well within the realm of what was to be expected but the guy was never told that it might get physical so he hauled off and popped her right back. Still funny after all this time.
