Scola would have made the Spurs a lot better even coming off the bench. Can you just imagine he and Manu pick and rolling teams to death. Then when Duncan slided to C he could play the same outlet that he does for Yao on double teams, draining his automatic midrange jumper, and finding open spaces on the court. If it didn't take him away from Houston I would love to see him ball with the SA squad.

again anyone who thinks Scola wouldn't have helped the Spurs and possibly won another le or two with him on the roster are crazy; but he isn't on the team so you have to look forward; hopefully Splitter can bring some of the skill set that Scola would have; and I think from a defensive stand point Splitter is better.

Blair is not better than Scola, nor do I believe he is a player that you can build a franchise on. He's damaged goods. Athough he could become a special player,I suspect that Blair will never play major minutes if he wants to prolong his career. I think his minutes will always be monitored in order to limit the wear and tear on his already damaged knees. If he does play big minutes, expect him to have a shorter career or be plagued by knee/leg injuries. I hope I'm wrong, but looking at it from a logical point of view, this scenario seems very likely.
