When the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor - our military base in Hawaii how did ‘we’ respond…well we practically nuked a whole ing city, killing innocent women and children. If the US wanted to play fair they should have struck the Japanese military (like they struck ours) not kill all those innocent people.

It was estimated that over a million allied and American lives would have been lost taking the islands. It's a numbers game KM.

The Japs knew it was futile as did Hirohito to battle against the Russians and Americans and were forwarned. If anything you can blame the emperor for allowing his people to become tempura.

The US has tried to assist muslim nations, and when things didn't work out well for the muslims, they claim a holy war?

Bin Laden, holds a personal vendetta against the United States. He wanted his freedom fighters to protect Saudi Arabia, but was rejected because the Saudi's wanted the US Military there. I would imagine he took it personally and started warping religious texts to justify his vengeance. All this AFTER the US helped him fight off the Russians.

Afghanistan war with Russia, the US along with UK and Saudi Arabia lended help for the Afghan resistance after Russia invaded.

Iran had a pact with the US for military cooperation if I recall, this is shortly before the Iran-Iraq war. I don't think the US had anything to do with Iraq until after the whole hostage thing. That is when the US opinion of Iran began to change. The hostage were kept by radical muslims who wanted more arms. Get this... even Israel was helping out Iran by attacking Iraq. Once the Ayatollah took over, after seeing what radical muslims do to American citizens, what would you do to protect your own citizens?

Saddam was just ing crazy. If anything the UK had more to do with Iraq than the US did.

I may be talking out my naive, "we're the good guys" ass, but this isn't a shade of gray. I don't expect every country to like the US and we are not saints. But this is anti-American. He's making the case for an attack. I couldn't get through all of it.

I wasn't alive in 1973. President Bush was snorting cocaine around that time. Who is Osama bin Ladin attacking? What does he hope to accomplish with the attack? To kill Americans. To do exactly to us what he thinks was done to him. He'll become a freedom fighter when he liberates his people from state-sanctioned religion. He'll be a freedom fighter when he allows women to walk the street. He'll be a freedom fighter when he allows actual schools in his country.

When his rhetoric becomes about FREEDOM and not about KILLING AMERICANS!

Only after he does all that will I even answer the question about him being a freedom fighter. We may have been asking for a punch in the nose, but this is not the man to deliver it.
