I never said they need Parcells, I'm saying Jones has turned into a ball owner who is living off the talent Parcells brought in.
That's how Jones has always been. Jimmy Johnson won three championships for the Cowboys (it was essentially a Jimmy Johnson team that won the last one).

Lone Star faithful still love Cowboys over Texans
    By KRISTIE RIEKEN
    The Associated Press
    Saturday, September 25, 2010; 12:01 AM

AUSTIN, Texas -- Clad in a white Tony Romo jersey, Melissa Tellez was posing for a picture on the steps of the Texas Capitol when she was asked which NFL
"While these two teams have gotten off to very different starts, nobody participating in this game needs to be reminded how quickly things can turn around in the NFL," he said.
Still, as a Texas A&M graduate living and working in Austin, Perry has to understand how it feels to root for the other guy. His Aggies, of course, trail the Longhorns in popularity.
Raheel Ramzanali grew up in Houston and hosts a local radio show. He said he's never seen Texans fans more excited.
"The Houston Texans always have the little brother syndrome because they are the newer team," he said. "There's not many Texans fans outside of Houston. It's a Dallas state where everybody roots for the Cowboys. No matter what they do, big brother's going to get more attention ... they're proud of the Texans, but yet they always feel like they're disrespected no matter what happens."
In some cases, the reach of the Cowboys might be a product of geography, with the cities closer to Dallas latching on to the team in their vicinity. However, some of the most ardent supporters of the Cowboys live in the Rio Grande Valley, which is much closer to Houston. Of course, the Cowboys training in San Antonio, as they did this year, allows fans easier access to their favorite team.
Raymond, the South Texas lawmaker, thinks his region's love for the Cowboys can be traced to Tom Landry, who coached the team from its 1960 inception even longer family connection with Houston no matter who it is, whether it's the Oilers or the Texans," he said. "So I'm kind of torn between two things. In fact, I'm so torn I'm not even going to go to the game."
He will remain on his South Texas ranch in Goliad, where he retired a few years ago.
"I'll watch it, but I don't want the wrong people to see me crying or laughing," he said, only half-joking. "You win both ways. Either your favorite city wins or your favorite son wins."
If only it were that easy for the rest of Texas.

That article stinks with jealousy. GMAMFB, the far distant history indeed is rich for the cowboys--but it is just that, HISTORY. In fact recent history really sucks--what is it, 1 playoff win in 14 yrs? The Cowboys PRESENT is pretty pathetic. I don't give a if Austin, SA, and S-TX slob-the-cowboy's knob. I can tell you for sure that just because there is a cowboy shop in Katy Mills don't mean that West Houston is Cowboy Country---that is a big ing joke and I have friends that live there too.

Cowboys need a new owner, new coach and new QB. Romo is re ed-simple.

    Cowboys will get beat tomorrow.

    Go Texans!

Jason Garrett is just really inconsistent. There was that one point in the Bears game where Barber had like 3 straight carries of like 7 yards each. Once 3rd down rolled around, they became pass heavy once again. Jason will call either run run run run run run run or pass pass pass pass pass pass pass. He needs to find a middle and mix in run and pass and not just lean towards one.

Also, maybe the whole 3-headed rushing attack thing isn't working. You never know who is going to be in and it is very inconsistent.

    Just my .02
Agreed, bro...Garrett is very inconsistent..and that part of the game is exactly what I'm talking about. We were running well, then we got away from it....just sad to me...he needs to get his head out of his ass. I think we should make a trade for one of the RBs..

The fact that you post this article, and get all butthurt about it, and some (not all) Texans fans are acting like this game is Armageddon for Dallas and that all Cowboys fans and players are going to die of AIDS if they lose this game is exactly why this article is right. Not all Texans fans, but some, including yourself, obviously, have little brother syndrome, and if you win this game, you will feel as though you just made the playoffs. To be honest, as a Cowboys fan, I'd like to win, but if we don't, I want us to get our asses kicked so our ing owner will wake up and get rid of our coach. Our QB is not the problem..he has been one of the highest rated QBs for several years now..it's the coaching and the playcalling..and the players who can't get their heads out of their asses because our coach is the mother ing Stay Puff Marshmallow Man. But yeah...good luck in your SuperBowl tomorrow.

First I quoted that article, I did NOT post it originally bro. Second, I don't have little brother syndrome. I actually was a cowboy and oiler fan back in the day. I don't think this is a rivalry as we only play every 4 yrs. I don't have a problem with the Cowboys, I have a problem with the majority of cowboy fans in general that are arrogant and blindly overrate and crown their team in the preaseason. This game is not a big deal to the Texans, they are playing their schedule and they will win.

It is however a make or brake game for the Cowboys in all honesty.

It is funny how so many cowboy fans have a pre-packaged excuse just in-case they lose which is to have their coach fired or whatever. Funny.

In case you've been stuck under a large rock lately, Cowboy fans have been calling for Wade's head for almost a year now. Don't flatter yourself..it has nothing to do with your Texans. Tell me..seriously..what Cowboy fans on this board, that aren't trolls, crowned this team this year? All of the Cowboy fans I know on here were very skeptical of this team in the preseason...we don't believe in our coach, or our offensive coordinator.

Bro, I don't care about myself (I don't need glory). It is not about me, it is (for me) about the Texans and they finally have turned the corner.

When I was referring to Wade being fired for 0-3, it was not in reference to this forum rather all the recent talk radio this past week leading up to the game in which numerous cowboy fans were calling for wade to be fired--especially at 0-3. In other words, it ed dramatically, though as you say it was there prior (the call for wade to be canned).

    Later

The way you contridict yourself in this post is hilarious. Only a rockets/texan hybrid bandwagon fan could come up with this.

You say the past is HISTORY, yet you mention the last 14 years of the Cowboys as if they mean something or have anything to do with this squad

Since you are so concerned about the present, why not say the Cowboys have 1 playoff appearance in the last year....you know, since the past has nothing to do with anything.

    lol texan bandwagon fans

Good to see the running game is working again. I wonder how long it will take for Garrett to abandon it this time.
My guess is the first time there stopped for two yards or less
