I've listened to very few. The new Old 97's disc I picked up yesterday probably wins by default.
I still enjoy some geriatric 80's metal bands, including Iron Maiden. But that falls more under "guilty pleasure."
Ah Mono-whatever, you're definitely en led to your opinion. But these are the same guys who currenlty sell out arenas all over the world. There is a whole new generation of fans who appreciate their music, even if you don't.
They also play at places other bands won't or can't go to. On one of their recent tours they opened in Mumbai, India where no metal band has ever played. They played in Bogota, Columbia, Central America, places where other bands won't play-bringing their music to entire population of fans who love them to death.
But feel free to lump them into the generic 80's metal music, just further demonstrates your ignorance.
I hope mono ain't hatin on those s in Megadeth. I got Iron of all people to admit Rust In Peace was god tier. Of course, he is actually hardwired to eat sleep and breath metal.
and tbh my favorite album of 2010 is Congratulations.
haters ghana hate
Listening to us Andronicus' The Monitor. So far, sucks, yo. Of course, this is only the first track, and was based on the opinion that this is like a heavier Neutral Milk Hotel.
And Peace Sells and Rust in peace are great albums, breh. All other metal sux besides Disturbed and Linkin Park though.
This album is pretty ty. It doesn't deserve the praise. p4k can take it's 8.7 and shove it.
that album was complete
Don't know how anyone could like it. I got to the 7th track and had to cancel. Deleting this garbage.
you listened to peace sells scro?
Twice.
Not as good as Rust in Peace, though.
I have to assume this is a joke.
That assumption is not in defense of metal, by the way.
Listening to Avey's newly leaked LP. Hopefully he can keep up with Panda Bear's stuff.
1997's "Album of the Year" by Faith no More is my favorite album of the year.
My favorite Album of 2010

Youthanasia is vastly under rated as far as Megadeth albums are concerned.
I would put it above Peace Sells but that's just me.
Hi old thread. Favorite album of the yer was probably Dance yrself Clean to end it.
It's a great album. Dat in Victory. Also I actually heard The Killing Road on a dadrock station a few months ago.
Ha! What a cleeeever album cover.
I would change my previous selection to this also.
Lots of good ones, but leaning towards The ArchAndroid.
