That's crazy that we both have Howard, Beasley, Maggette and James. Not exactly the favorites in those respective categories.

I'm 50/50 on Lakers/Spurs winning the championship. I think this is the year where the past three seasons catch up to the Lakers and they run out of gas, a la the '08 Spurs. If that doesn't happen, however, I think they win again.
Tough to see the Celtics' fossils having the energy to make the Finals in consecutive years, but they're built to beat the Heat and I get the sense that it's going to take longer for Heat to play to potential than '08 Celtics.
MVP: Lebron James
ROY: Blake Griffin
MIP: Dejuan Blair
DPOY: Dwight Howard
6th Man: Corey Maggette
COY: Scott Brooks
Spurs Record: 55-27
West Champ: Spurs

Afflalo as MIP? You really think with Carmelo, Billups, & JR Smith generating 75% of the offense again and just spotting up for 3's he's going to do much more than last season's numbers (9ppg, 43% 3pt shooting which is damn good and probably his ceiling?).
Afflalo improve his game this summer, this season he has a bigger offensive role(see preseason), and also there a very good chance Melo will be soon out of Denver...
ohh and i just like Afflalo as a player, i wish we could have had him in Spurs uniform, he could have been the closest thing to Bruce Bowen successor, his defense his great, not at Bowen level but still very impressive, he is very good 3-Point shooter like Bowen and even has more offensive game!

No way does Pop get Coach of the Year. If Sproelstra even sniffs the champiobnship, the nuthuggers will give it to him.
Durant takes MVP and ROY goes to Griffin. Beyond that, who knows?
Kori, I'd like to change my COY pick to Pat Riley
KD may not be MVP. People don't want to hear me but i think OKC might miss the play offs
MVP- Kobe
ROY- Griffin
MIP-Klezia
6th Man- Manu
COY-Sloan
Spurs record- 54-28
Spurs beat Boston 6-2 in the finals
Lovin' it. I predicted the C's to get to the finals and they are off to a great start. Sure glad I didn't pick the heat like half the folks in the thread.
Celtics just smashed them with relative ease, & from the looks of things my mvp pick Rondo is going to have a serious ing monster year.
I like the Shaq/Jermaine signings for the celtics, which will help to beef up the interior so Garnett can basically coast and get plenty of rest until the playoffs. Rasheed Wallace was supposed to help him in that regard last year, but most of the time he was loafing out on the 3pt line.
MVP: Kobe Bryant
ROY: Blake Griffin
MIP: Kevin Love
DPOY: Dwight Howard
6th Man: Wesley Matthews
COY: Stan Van Gundy
Spurs Record: 52-30
West Champ: Lakers
East Champ: Magic
NBA Champ: Lakers
Jerry Sloan is going to take COY, after the jazz dethrone the lakers in the WCF, and even if they don't manage that, he is due for that award for one of the most remarkable coaching careers in nba history.
So many votes for Blair as MIP, ain't looking too good so far... if I could change one of my choices I'd pick Harrington as 6th man rather than Nate Robinson (celtics have so many weapons he won't get the stats, esp once West returns)
Harrington is proving a perfect fit in that nuggets high tempo offense, him and JR Smith are a formidable scoring punch off the bench.
