by Jeff McDonald
...Moreso than what he ate Sunday afternoon, Bonner credits something that happened Saturday night for his OKC breakout. On the front end of a back-to-back, the Spurs blew out Philadelphia at the AT&T Center, allowing Bonner — in his first game back after missing two weeks with an ankle sprain — to get 15 minutes of uninterrupted court time.
Against Philly, Bonner shook off the rust that had ac ulated during his time on the injured list. He was ed and ready to fire in Oklahoma City.
“I put it back to the night before,” Bonner said. “We got out to a big lead, which gave me a chance to play 15 consecutive minutes and get back in rhythm.”
Props to Bonner! Hope he continues to do well, but let's wait till playoff time when Bonner seems to disappear!![]()
It would be nice to see Bonner, Jefferson, Anderson, Neal and Manu on the floor at the same time. It might open up the lane.
Bonner has always been a good bench player who had for what ever reason had to play starting minutes and guard opposing teams centers. He is not a starter and he is not a CENTER but is a good bench player that we can use to win certain games and yes he has played good so far this year.
The OP.
Shabooya! I always believed. Always, never doubted.
