So Okafor fouled out and was T'ed up Wednesday and now he turned the ball over tonight. him and his stupid decisions.
Even with a bum knee, D-Will couldn't stay in front of him when the Hornets blew them out. He routinely drove past a heavier D-Will and setup open jumpers for his teammates. CP3 is still the best PG as far as playmaking, but he's not a scoring PG right now.

even your one liners are off tonight ...
With the Phoenix collapse and Houston being decimated, odds are Hornets will make the playoffs. But you can't think they have more than a 1st round exit waiting for them.
Plus they have no first round pick, so they can't tank the season.
om nom nom
Another DNP for Marcus Thornton.
Monty Williams is an asshole.
Thornton's been blah lately, but the team still needs him, especially over Willie Green.
Lakers start 4 against 5, will betting on Fisher ever hurt the Lakers? Basically, it's Kobe + the front line + a bunch of stiffs. Still, I don't know who's gonna beat 'em in a 7 game series, I suppose the Celtics have the best chance.
I know his d is weak ... but he could of made a huge contribution ...thanks Monty!
Thornton is not going to make or break the Hornets... Paul needs to man up and start taking shots... He's got a sweet jumper and he's been mostly solid from 3, so I don't know why he doesn't shoot more.
He does but if he does shoot more then his %'s and PER will suffer
Because he can't shoot off the dribble over defenders. His knee isn't at full strength. Teams adjust, put a taller defender on him and he has trouble, plus they have no one else to count on for scoring.
Chris Paul took 6 shot attempts tonight and was the lowest starting scorer
- West can only do so much and as usual did MORE than his part with 23 points and 12 rebounds
- Okafor again gave a solid effort with 13 points and 13 rebounds and good D
- Belinelli stepped up and hit some big shots finishing with 17 points
- TREVOR ARIZA AKA THE GLORIFIED DEVIN BROWN actually had a good game for the love of God with 17 points and 50% FG%!!!!
No one off the bench was worth a , but if Paul had shot the ball more and played aggressive the entire game instead of only in the final 3 minutes then maybe the outcome would have been different. The Hornets starters outside of Paul put up 70 points tonight ... can't ask for anything more than that.
-
Really? I'm all for having Paul shoot more, but if nobody else steps up, it will be just like the beginning of last season--Paul scoring 25+ on 70% shooting and the Hornets losing. The Hornets need contribution from the wings, and Thornton can give them that.
great points all BR. Cant disagree. Trevor did take some poor shots too, but since he hit some key shots ...he played well.
Get a good screener and he can get open. Belinelli and Ariza are basically providing all the outside treat right now, and frankly neither really intimidates.
As BR pointed out, the others guys did produce. Do you prefer Willie Green taking shots or CP3?
the bottom line is that West, Belinelli, Okafor and Glorified Devin Brown put up 70 points tonight ... while Chris Paul took 6 shot attempts and scored 10 points. oh and don't give me that "assist" bull ... 90% of all assist are so terribly overrated in the NBA that its not even funny anymore. for every 10 assist, maybe 1 or 2 at the most were created simply because of the passer.
we played the Lakers tonight in their house ... there is simply NO REASON why this "elite/star" player should only take 6 ing shot attempts. truth be told he doesn't want to be here and is just cruising through the season until we trade him at the end of the year. he is doing as little as possible and only being aggressive about 10% of the time.
CP3 to Dallas![]()
son its not even funny anymore you can have his ass ... but be warned ahead of time ... the moment things aren't going his way, he will quit.
Yes, they produced tonight. I'm not talking about just tonight.
One takes what isn't given to him, one takes what is given to him.
