who ?
Calm the down, people. The Spurs HAVE to sign someone to get their roster up to the required 13.
I guess we'll see if they say anything about it during the Toros broadcast from the showcase coming up.
Cucking Chump may well have seen this guy play in Austin?
Chump?
The drive never bothered me, but I used to live there. I would have had to go alone, so I passed this time around. With any luck it will be back again.
Solid choice; and I wasn't aware Lisa Leslie retired from the WNBA to play in the D-League. ... Learn something new every day.
But I could be mistaken . . .
Larry BOwens?
He sounds like a great defender![]()
Chumpy,
what do you mean? Is he unable or unwilling (Finley) to take the ball to the rack?
He can, but we have plenty of guys who can do it better.
I know he likes long walks on the beach, his dog Muffles and curling up with a good book and a nice roaring fire. He's a Libra and his motto is "you will never know if you don't try". He's well liked in his immediate family, not so much in the extended fam.
So need be he can drive it to the rack. Phew, thank you. Do not want to see us reverting to 2008 09 10.
True, but anyone know what other NBA players blossomed way late?
Nice! It's not that he is some super prospect, but I like the fact they are trying guys out who have size, youth and athleticism.
Never heard of him before, but I do like what I've read so far. Finally, a young, long, solid defender, at the SF spot. I wish him the best of luck and can't wait to see him in action.
Pop is actually willing to play them this year too.![]()
I like that he prides himself on his defense, but has really gotten to be good on offense.
Wonder why this kid never made it on a NBA team.
I like it. Why are some people complaining? At least it's not another 6'4 guard who's specialty is 3 pt shooting.
Sounds good.
The Toros play-by-play man was interviewing a Spurs scout for most of the second quarter. No word about Owens.
Cool!!
Go Spurs go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Funny, I saw him on the showcase yesterday and heard his name for the first time. He wasnt overly impressive, but looked a decent player and has good size
Exactly.
The physical tools are there (and supposedly, so is the stroke) to be a 3D SF. It appears he can also be utilized as a small ball four. Hopefully, he pans out.
Unfortunately, I still don't think this means Udoka won't be re-signed this season. Clearly, they're trying to find someone else, but if they don't like what they see from Owens or whomever else they may bring in, I've got to believe Udoka will be the fallback.
I like the "idea" of a long SF... but its more about how the player uses his size...example dejuan blair... There are some 7 footers in this league that don't block shots and can't move their feet. Hope this guy works out.. but more importantly, it would be a huge downer if the Spurs send JA down to toros.
Why would it be a "huge downer"? If they do in fact send him down, it'll only be for conditioning for probably a week to ten days at most. It's not like they'd send him down for the rest of the season.
I don't understand why anyone would think this has anything to do with Anderson. As some have already said, this is all about complying with league rules. The Spurs simply needed a 13th player and even if Anderson were healthy, their greatest positional need is at SF.
but more importantly, it would be a huge downer if the Spurs send JA down to toros.
Even if its to play a crap load of minutes to get him in game shape???
