The Spurs need to break this losing streak against Amare Stoudemire. He's beaten your team 6 straight times now.

Did Splitter match up against Amare last game around? I hope Pop isn't a tonight and gives Splitter some burn at least against Amare. I'm interested to see how he matches up.

McDyess should be on Amare for most of the game, he's always done a great job of keeping Amare from doing whatever he wants.

NY to start Ronny Turiaf at PF tonight, creating domino effect that leaves Wilson Chandler on bench. Chandler had 31 vs. Spurs on Jan. 4.

saw this first reported on rotowire, just funny that the team that won the 1st game, is making adjustments for our size. The Fields/Chandler combo was one of the main reasons they beat us last game.

    oh and ...

James Anderson will be in uniform once again be in uniform tonight for Spurs, but just for fun. Will not be available. #spurs

DeJuan Blair on always trying to be too perfect:

““That’s what I always do. I always try to be too perfect. Once I get through my head that everybody’s not perfect, I’ll be okay. I just went out there in the second half and didn’t think. I think too much, that’s what I do, so it’s going to be hard to get that out, but at the same time, the less I do it, the better I’ll be.”.”

So DeJuan, why do you have tape on your index finger?

DB: To remind me that there's tape on my other finger.

So why do you have tape on that other finger?

DB: To remind me that I also have tape on this ring finger.

Sooooo why do you have tape on your ring finger...

DB: To remind me that Pop will cut my balls off if I keep stealing the athletic tape.

maybe some people feel that Pop hasn't given Splitter a fair chance to become a solid contributor.

I know a lot of it is on the Tiago himself and how he missed training camp, but it's not like he's gotten a fair shake from Pop either.

Splitter played 3 garbage minutes after Pop gave up. Let's hope Pop continues to be "a " and keep us in the game by benching Splitter and not letting him get anywhere near the court when Amare is on the floor. I guess it would be pretty funny for him to get posterized every trip down, but not a good idea if we want to, you know, win.

Splitter has had plenty of chances. It is all on Tiago, not because he missed camp, but because he plays like a WNBA nag. He's been awful in every appearance except 1 this season.

Pop's response to D'Antoni's lineup change, benching Chandler: "Mike's always been a nice guy."
