BB the Cavs were not going to wait to appease their star. Pheonix were keeping the Cavs waiting two deadlines in a row (2009 Shaq, 2010 Stoudemire). It was also based around the time frame, not strictly based on the pieces in the trade. Yes in hindsight I'd probably take the gamble on Amar'e but who would see your star player playing up an injury(if there was any) or playing lackadaisical in key moments of the playoffs.

I'm nervous about tomorrow. Firing the coach is usually a good thing for the next game, but then there's often an emotional letdown on the second game after. I doubt we'll see Hibbert go for 24/12/2 again.
He was seemingly doing that all season earlier on then he really tailed off. I wouldn't be surprised to see him have another strong game.
The sucking Pacers are going to blow this. 68-67 Indy in the third.![]()
This is one of the worst quarters of basketball I have ever seen. The shot Sessions just threw up was comical.
Ya, but the cir stances actually make this game watchable..I thought it might be over after the 21-6 start, then I remembered it was the Indiana Pacers..
Gotta get tix for next weeks Pistons-Cavs game, as it's Mo Williams poster night.
Pacers by 2 going into the fourth. I got a bad feeling.
Cleveland down 1. 41 sec to go.
JJ Hickson..
I really can't believe an NBA player hasn't beaten the living out of Bavetta right there on the floor. The guy just flat-out steals games from teams.
Whew! That was nail-biter. Not likely the Cavs are going to shoot 44 free throws again. On to try to tie the single-season record vs. the Lakers farm team, but at least it's at their farm.
Hibbert with another double/double though.
Trillaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
They're getting closer and closer, it seems..
Almost there, but this streak keeps getting put into danger. Portland needs to really sack up and take care of business tomorrow to ensure The Cavs can immortalize themselves with a single-season record.

23 down, 2 to go for the outright lead for most losses in a row. 1 more to go for the outright lead for most losses in a row in a season. Let's go Cavs!
dam rite!
